[00:06:10] I pleaded the blood over that and the diagnosis was go on and enjoy your summer.

[00:06:16] Have a good summer for my cardiologist and they trying to bring that stuff back up now.

[00:06:22] But my father in heaven says that I can have all things that I asked in his name.

[00:06:28] And what I ask in his name is to continue to keep me in good health like he said, he said in his word.

[00:06:34] He said, beloved, I wish he said, beloved, I wish above all things that you should prosper and be in good health as your soul.

[00:06:44] So shell prosper.

[00:06:45] So that means that's his wish for me and I'm going to keep on keeping on.

[00:06:50] I'm going to keep on kicking.

[00:06:52] I'm going to keep on giving into what he's pouring into him so he can pour back into me and fill me up.

[00:06:58] I'm going to keep on kicking because he ain't done with me yet.

[00:07:02] He got a purpose for all of us.

[00:07:31] We've skipped around a lot throughout the years, but right now we're in Joshua.

[00:07:36] We're going to try to finish up Joshua this week because God has laid it on my heart to go somewhere else.

[00:07:41] Before we got back into Joshua, we're in the book of John, St. John and I didn't continue and go on over to Acts,

[00:07:50] but we are in action season and I think that we need to go on over to Acts,

[00:07:55] but we'll see.

[00:07:56] I'm going to meditate and pray on it, you know, a little bit more because I know my father is going to give me some direction.

[00:08:03] I know the Holy Spirit is going to give me some direction.

[00:08:07] You know, the Holy Spirit will never fail you.

[00:08:09] That's your best friend.

[00:08:10] If you ain't locked on to the Holy Spirit, if God has not given you or given your gifts of tongues yet,

[00:08:16] go ahead and ask him to fill you.

[00:08:19] Get into your quiet place, your secret dwelling place because he said whoever goes into his a deep secret dwelling place

[00:08:27] shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

[00:08:31] So get into your secret dwelling place.

[00:08:34] Go ahead and start lifting his name up.

[00:08:36] Tell him to fill you up.

[00:08:39] Tell him to fill you up.

[00:08:41] You know, when Jesus left he told his disciples, he said, I go and you know where I go.

[00:08:48] He said, but I'm going to leave you with something.

[00:08:51] He said, my father is going to leave you with the Holy Spirit.

[00:08:55] You're ever present helpful.

[00:08:58] Once you get the gift of the Holy Spirit, there's your knowledge right there.

[00:09:02] There's your wisdom.

[00:09:03] That's your understanding.

[00:09:04] That's your best friend.

[00:09:06] Carry him with you all day every day.

[00:09:08] Because he will check you.

[00:09:10] He will check you.

[00:09:12] So guys, let's jump right into the book of Joshua on this day because I'm excited about getting into God's word.

[00:09:21] I'm excited about what he's doing in my life.

[00:09:24] I was ecstatic to be able to see 53 this weekend and I just thought about all the things.

[00:09:32] My Moses moments.

[00:09:33] We all have Moses moments where, you know, we talked about that last week.

[00:09:38] Moses can get a little bit agitated with the people as we do in our regular lives.

[00:09:44] I've had my Moses moments.

[00:09:46] I've had my moments of David where I needed that little boost of courage.

[00:09:52] I've had my Elijah moments where I said, Satan, get the behind me because you don't know who my father is and what kind of power he's placed in my hand because he's placed power in our hands guys.

[00:10:05] When he rose on that third day, he descended and ascended rose on that third day with all power in his hands.

[00:10:16] And he felt it not robbery to be seated right beside his father.

[00:10:21] He's on the right side, right hand side of his father equal.

[00:10:28] And when he sat down, he not getting back up, but he extended that power to us.

[00:10:34] Use your power people because you are seated and heavenly places.

[00:10:39] I'm reminded of my bishop saying this about a year or so ago.

[00:10:45] You are seated with the King.

[00:10:49] You see you're sitting at a table with the King, but he seated us with him.

[00:10:54] So you got the same power that he told the disciples that they had when he said go.

[00:11:03] Go, I'll leave you but I'll leave you with the Holy Spirit, but go.

[00:11:08] What do you tell Peter?

[00:11:08] He said Peter, feed my sheep.

[00:11:11] We got the same power.

[00:11:13] We got the same anointing on our life.

[00:11:16] All you gotta do is tap into it.

[00:11:18] How do you tap into it?

[00:11:19] You tap in it by getting yourself in your word.

[00:11:24] You tap into it by getting yourself a closer relationship with God because it's not enough just to read the word.

[00:11:32] You got to work the word.

[00:11:33] You got to work the word.

[00:11:35] That means anything that you read that applies to your life, you got to work it in there.

[00:11:40] You got to work the word.

[00:11:42] Your ties, your offering, you got to work the word.

[00:11:45] You got to be obedient.

[00:11:47] You got to be obedient because we all know that obedience is better than sacrifice.

[00:11:52] Look at came and able.

[00:11:54] God gave us plenty of examples how to get through this thing that we call life.

[00:11:59] You got to have that bonus.

[00:12:01] You got to do a whole lot out of love, everything you do out of love.

[00:12:05] If you do everything out of love, the rest will follow.

[00:12:10] But remember when you start walking this walk with our Heavenly Father,

[00:12:14] He can't pour new wine into old winescans.

[00:12:18] Remember how He told the disciples back in the Old, in the New Testament?

[00:12:23] He said you can't pour new wine into old winescans because they'll burst.

[00:12:30] So when He does something new in you, when He does something new in you,

[00:12:36] you got to get rid of the old and get to that new.

[00:12:40] Forget about what you knew before you accepted our Heavenly Father into your life

[00:12:46] and start walking that day, this day, if it's a new day for you.

[00:12:52] And don't worry about stumbling.

[00:12:54] He said a man falls down seven times and get back up.

[00:12:56] So we are going to stumble.

[00:12:58] We're going to stumble.

[00:13:00] He knows we're going to stumble.

[00:13:02] Hey, he didn't wrote our whole story out, but he still got a purpose.

[00:13:06] All he want to know is if you're going to diligently seek Him,

[00:13:09] that's all he want to know is if you're going to be diligent in your walk.

[00:13:14] He knows you're going to make mistakes, but he wants to know if you're going to diligently seek Him.

[00:13:21] He'll come along and give the increase.

[00:13:23] He'll come along to give the increase and plant that seed in somebody else's life today.

[00:13:28] Plant that seed in somebody else's life today.

[00:13:32] If you be the planner, God will be the waterer because He's going to finish everything

[00:13:37] that He started in all of us.

[00:13:40] He said, you know, Jeremiah 29-11 is on my board,

[00:13:43] for I know the thoughts that I think towards you says the Lord,

[00:13:46] thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope.

[00:13:51] God wants to give all of us a future.

[00:13:53] He wants to give all of us a hope, but you've got to start somewhere.

[00:13:57] You can't be like some people I know because I know a lot of people

[00:14:00] and they say, you know, I'm waiting.

[00:14:02] I'm waiting.

[00:14:02] You've been in church all their life.

[00:14:04] What's your waiting on?

[00:14:04] God waiting on you to get out of that seat of slothfulness

[00:14:12] and start putting a foot forward and doing what He told you to do.

[00:14:16] He said, keep my commandments and all your ways, acknowledge me,

[00:14:20] and God's righteousness will be added into you.

[00:14:24] Be a blessing to somebody.

[00:14:25] Plant some seeds.

[00:14:28] That's what He told us to do.

[00:14:32] Keep His commandments.

[00:14:33] Preach my word.

[00:14:34] Teach my word.

[00:14:35] Be a helper to somebody else.

[00:14:38] All you got to do is start planting those seeds.

[00:14:40] Plant them in your life.

[00:14:43] Plant them in your life, plant them in somebody else's life

[00:14:46] and let God come along and be the waterer.

[00:14:50] He said without faith it is impossible to please God.

[00:14:56] Without faith it is impossible to please God.

[00:15:01] You got to have some faith.

[00:15:02] If you lost some faith over the weekend,

[00:15:05] if you didn't make it to church,

[00:15:07] if you didn't get in your word, this is the best time as any.

[00:15:11] So let's go ahead and get into Joshua.

[00:15:15] We're going to go ahead and go over to Joshua chapter 10.

[00:15:20] That's what we left off at.

[00:15:22] I'm going to be reading out of my King James,

[00:15:24] my new King James this morning for all of you that want to follow along.

[00:15:30] And it goes a little bit like this

[00:15:32] and some of these names were a little bit hard to pronounce

[00:15:35] as I got into it and read it on Friday.

[00:15:38] And so I broke it down so you guys bear with me.

[00:15:42] Everybody's not going to say everything correctly,

[00:15:44] but if you know it, it's okay.

[00:15:46] I'm humble enough for you guys to say,

[00:15:49] you know what, it ain't pronounced that way.

[00:15:51] I'm just that humble enough because God said

[00:15:53] we're supposed to help each other togetherness, togetherness.

[00:15:57] So chapter 10 starts off this like this.

[00:16:00] Now it came to pass when Adana Zedek of Jerusalem

[00:16:07] heard how Joshua had taken A.I.

[00:16:13] Yes, yes, how Joshua had taken A.I.

[00:16:17] and utterly destroyed it as he had done Jericho and its King.

[00:16:21] So he had done to A.I. and its kings

[00:16:24] and how it was an inhabit of Gibbon

[00:16:29] and had made peace with Israel and more among them.

[00:16:34] They feared greatly because Gibbon was a great city,

[00:16:39] like one of the royal cities,

[00:16:41] because it was greater than A.I.

[00:16:44] and all its men were mighty.

[00:16:47] Therefore, Adana Zedek, King of Jerusalem,

[00:16:52] sent to Hoham, King of Herum and Pyram,

[00:16:57] King of Jarmuth and Japhat, King of Lekish and Debreer,

[00:17:03] King of Aglom, saying,

[00:17:07] come up to me and help that we may attack Gim Young

[00:17:12] for it has made peace with Joshua

[00:17:16] and with the children of Israel.

[00:17:18] Therefore, the five kings of the Amorites

[00:17:20] and the kings of Jerusalem and the king of Herobon

[00:17:23] and the king of Jermouth and the king of Lekish

[00:17:26] and the king of Aglom, gathered together and went up.

[00:17:32] They all, they and all their armies

[00:17:34] and camp before Gibbon and made war against it.

[00:17:38] So guys, if you don't remember last week,

[00:17:42] you remember that they partnered with the Israelites

[00:17:48] and they did a little sneaky thing.

[00:17:53] They were fearful of the Israelites

[00:17:57] because they had heard all God had done for them

[00:18:00] and they told them, they said, you know,

[00:18:02] we've heard what your God has done for you.

[00:18:06] So what they did is instead of telling Joshua

[00:18:09] and all the Israelites that they were their neighbors,

[00:18:12] they told them we're from a faraway place

[00:18:16] and they came and they wore their tore sandals

[00:18:19] and they brought bread that was molded.

[00:18:22] They pretty much manipulated the situation

[00:18:24] because they did not want Joshua, the Israelites,

[00:18:29] to fight them.

[00:18:32] So when they manipulated the situation,

[00:18:36] Joshua's and the elders of the camps of each tribe,

[00:18:41] they made a treaty with them.

[00:18:43] But in the end, and that comes out of the book,

[00:18:46] chapter nine, in the end, Joshua found out

[00:18:50] they were actually their neighbors

[00:18:53] and they had tricked them into making a treaty with them

[00:18:56] by telling them that, you know,

[00:18:58] they came from a faraway land and blah, blah, blah, blah.

[00:19:04] Well, Joshua said, for tricking us,

[00:19:09] you're going to be slaves.

[00:19:11] You're going to tend to the altar.

[00:19:13] You're going to be water carriers and woodcutters.

[00:19:16] So they were able to live in peace next to the Israelites.

[00:19:20] So now we're right here where the kings are coming together

[00:19:29] because they're fearful too.

[00:19:31] I don't know who wouldn't be fearful

[00:19:33] because one of my God is walking with me.

[00:19:37] I am sovereignly protected

[00:19:40] because he's sovereignly in control.

[00:19:44] So with my God with me, who could be against me?

[00:19:49] So these kings recognize this.

[00:19:52] So four kings, they join forces.

[00:19:55] And it goes on in chapter 10 verses five.

[00:19:58] It says, therefore the five kings of the Amorites,

[00:20:02] the kings of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron,

[00:20:05] the king of Jermoth, the king of Lakers

[00:20:08] and the king of Aglom, gather together and they went up.

[00:20:12] They and all their armies and they camp before Gibbon

[00:20:15] and made war against it.

[00:20:18] And the men of Gibbon sent to Joshua

[00:20:20] at the camp of Gilgall saying,

[00:20:24] do not forsake your servants.

[00:20:27] Come up to us quickly and save us.

[00:20:33] Help us for all the kings of the Amorites

[00:20:36] who dwell in the mountains have gathered together

[00:20:39] against us.

[00:20:40] So Joshua ascended from Gilgall

[00:20:44] in all the people of the war with him

[00:20:47] and all the mighty men of Allen.

[00:20:49] And the Lord said to Joshua, do not fear them

[00:20:52] for I have delivered them into your hands.

[00:20:57] Not a man of them shall stand before you.

[00:21:02] How many of us know that when God tells us not to fear,

[00:21:08] that we're not to fear?

[00:21:11] How many of us know that when we know that we know

[00:21:15] that we know that we know our heavenly Father

[00:21:18] and what he's capable of doing,

[00:21:22] that we shouldn't fear anything.

[00:21:25] We shouldn't fear man, woman, chicken or a child

[00:21:28] as my grandmother would say.

[00:21:31] Because when God is for you, who can be against you?

[00:21:34] Let me say that one more time.

[00:22:00] So the Lord is telling them

[00:22:01] and the Lord said to Joshua, do not fear them

[00:22:03] for I have delivered them into your hand.

[00:22:06] Not a man, not one of them should stand before you.

[00:22:09] Man, when God tells me not one person

[00:22:12] gonna stand before me,

[00:22:14] which I already know, I don't know about child,

[00:22:17] but I know.

[00:22:18] When I asked my God for something,

[00:22:20] when he told me that I got the same power

[00:22:23] in my hands, he's extended it to me,

[00:22:26] I already know.

[00:22:28] All I gotta do is get down with the get down.

[00:22:30] All I gotta do is make sure I'm obedient and listen.

[00:22:36] Listen to what my father's trying to tell me.

[00:22:39] So they go on and he says that Joshua is therefore

[00:22:44] come upon them suddenly and have them marched

[00:22:47] all night from Gilgoth.

[00:22:49] So the Lord routed them before Israel,

[00:22:52] killed them with a great slaughter at Gibbon,

[00:22:55] chased them along the road

[00:22:57] that was long Beth Horam

[00:23:01] and struck them down as far as Zekai and Matakai.

[00:23:09] And it happened as they fled before Israel

[00:23:12] and were on the descendant of Beth Horam

[00:23:15] that the Lord cast down large hailstones from the heaven

[00:23:19] on them as far as Zekai.

[00:23:24] Let me make sure I'm pronouncing that right.

[00:23:27] Yes.

[00:23:29] So the Lord did cast down large stones from heaven,

[00:23:38] but he just told them do not fear.

[00:23:42] I'm going to deliver them into your hands.

[00:23:48] How many of you guys heard God tell you

[00:23:51] not to worry about something that he is going to deliver

[00:23:55] something or somebody into your hands?

[00:23:58] And he goes about it such a mighty, mighty way.

[00:24:05] In this particular instance, he used hailstones.

[00:24:10] How many of us have had God use something that we use every day?

[00:24:16] Something that's in our space every day

[00:24:18] to show his self mighty on our behalf.

[00:24:22] He could use people, places or things.

[00:24:27] So let's move on.

[00:24:30] There was more who died from the hailstones

[00:24:34] than the children of Israel killed with the sword.

[00:24:39] Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord

[00:24:42] delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel

[00:24:45] and he said in the sight of Israel,

[00:24:49] son, stand still overgiven

[00:24:52] and moon in the valley of Ajalon.

[00:24:57] So the sun stood still

[00:25:01] and the moon stopped

[00:25:05] till the people had revenge upon their enemies.

[00:25:10] Let me say that one more time.

[00:25:13] Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day

[00:25:17] when the Lord delivered the Amorites

[00:25:19] before the children of Israel

[00:25:22] and said in the sight of Israel,

[00:25:27] son, stand still overgiven

[00:25:31] and moon in the valley of Ajalon.

[00:25:36] So the sun stood still

[00:25:38] and the moon stopped

[00:25:41] till the people had revenge upon their enemies.

[00:25:47] Is this not written in the book of Gashar?

[00:25:51] So the sun stood still in the midst of the heavens

[00:25:53] and did not hasten to go down for about the whole day

[00:26:00] and there has been no day like that before or after it.

[00:26:05] The Lord heeded the voice of a man

[00:26:07] for the Lord fought for Israel.

[00:26:11] I think some of us need to be reminded of that in our time.

[00:26:15] Some of us need to be reminded

[00:26:18] that God can halt any and everything

[00:26:22] and make a whole lot stand still on our behalf.

[00:26:35] So then Joshua returned

[00:26:37] and all Israelite with him to camp at Gilgall.

[00:26:40] But the five kings had fled

[00:26:42] and hidden themselves in a cave at...

[00:26:46] Let me make sure I got that right.

[00:26:48] Makita, yes, Makita.

[00:26:52] And it was told to Joshua saying

[00:26:54] the five kings had been found hidden in the cave at Makita.

[00:26:59] So Joshua said,

[00:27:00] roll large stones against the mouth of the cave

[00:27:04] and set men by it to guard the cave.

[00:27:08] And do not stay there yourselves

[00:27:11] but pursue your enemies and attack their rear guard.

[00:27:15] Do not allow them to enter their cities

[00:27:17] for the Lord your God has delivered them into your hand.

[00:27:23] Then it happened while Joshua and the children of Israel

[00:27:26] made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter

[00:27:30] till they had finished that those who escaped

[00:27:34] entered four to five cities.

[00:27:38] And all the people returned to the camp

[00:27:40] to Joshua at Makita in peace.

[00:27:44] No one moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.

[00:27:48] Then Joshua said, open the mouth of the cave

[00:27:51] and bring out those five kings to me from the cave.

[00:27:56] And they did so

[00:27:57] and brought out those five kings to him from the cave.

[00:28:01] The king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron,

[00:28:05] the king of Jermath,

[00:28:06] the king of Lakers and the king of Aglon.

[00:28:10] So it was when they brought out those kings to Joshua

[00:28:14] that Joshua called all the men of Israel

[00:29:22] You can't faint.

[00:29:24] We all do.

[00:29:27] But when you do faint, come back to your senses

[00:29:32] because we have a bunch of people

[00:29:35] that may not be strong in their faith wall

[00:29:37] as some of us might be strong in our faith wall.

[00:29:40] Our job as shepherds,

[00:29:43] as leaders, as prophets, evangelists,

[00:29:46] pastors, teachers, deacons,

[00:29:49] our job is to strengthen those that want to know.

[00:29:54] Our job is to pray for the fallen.

[00:29:57] That's our job.

[00:30:01] And not be dismayed or afraid,

[00:30:03] as Joshua told the men.

[00:30:06] He said, be strong and be of good courage.

[00:30:09] And sometimes we have to strengthen each other as leaders.

[00:30:12] We have to speak into each other's life.

[00:30:15] Speak a word.

[00:30:17] Pray for your sister or your brother

[00:30:20] even when they don't even know that you're praying for them.

[00:30:25] I know that all of my great brothers and sisters

[00:30:28] know that the Holy Spirit is an intercessor

[00:30:32] because when you ain't got nothing else

[00:30:34] that you can come out of your mouth and say in prayer,

[00:30:37] do you know that the Holy Spirit makes intercessions

[00:30:40] on your behalf? He continued that prayer.

[00:30:43] I love it when the Holy Spirit intercedes for me

[00:30:45] because he may say some things that I forgot to say

[00:30:48] or didn't just know how to say.

[00:30:50] Amen.

[00:30:54] So Joshua says to them,
