[00:10:49] I've been going through life.
[00:10:53] Life has just been lifing, you know.
[00:10:55] And we've had, I've had sickness.
[00:11:02] We've had, the family has had death.
[00:11:05] The family has had some health scares.
[00:11:08] And I'm not going to go into particulars.
[00:11:10] But this past weekend, we were able to bury one of our loved ones and get together and celebrate that homecoming.
[00:11:18] And for those of you who are in the family, blessings, just blessings, especially to the children.
[00:11:29] If you need me, I'm here.
[00:11:31] Your aunt is here for you.
[00:11:33] All you got to do is pick up the phone.
[00:11:35] And I know vice versa.
[00:11:36] We are a tribe.
[00:11:37] And I spoke about that at the funeral this past Saturday.
[00:11:45] People of God, men and women of God.
[00:11:47] And even if you're just on the fence where you're at in your relationship with Christ, don't forget that God is all-knowing.
[00:11:58] He's everywhere.
[00:11:59] He's just waiting for you to reach out and tap in with him.
[00:12:06] He'll meet you right where you're at.
[00:12:08] We are a tribe.
[00:12:09] Our family is our tribe.
[00:12:11] Our entire family.
[00:12:12] And I know sometimes, guys, we have people in our family that we feel like we just can't deal with.
[00:12:22] But there's so many of us, someone else may be able to identify with what that person is going through.
[00:12:30] Reach out anyway.
[00:12:32] Show that person you care.
[00:12:34] Keep reaching out and keep reaching out and keep reaching out until they respond.
[00:12:39] Now, everybody's not going to respond the way we do, the way you do.
[00:12:46] But you keep reaching out.
[00:12:47] You keep showing that love.
[00:12:49] And don't just do it when you're going through hard times in life, things such as death, funerals.
[00:12:55] Do it, you know, on a weekly or a monthly basis if that person crosses your mind.
[00:13:00] Don't just do it around the holidays as well.
[00:13:04] We got a lot of people that just reach out to people around holidays.
[00:13:08] We got a lot of family.
[00:13:09] And I know, I know, because it's even in the Old Testament.
[00:13:13] We can't be around each other all the time.
[00:13:18] We can't reach out to everybody all the time, that cousin, you know, that sister or brother or that person that may be still, like I said, on the fence or where they want to go in their faith walk.
[00:13:35] But we lead by example.
[00:13:37] And not just in our faith walk.
[00:13:39] Love is love.
[00:13:40] God wants us to love each person that he brings into our lives.
[00:13:47] Men that fence.
[00:13:49] Men that riff.
[00:13:51] And I want to talk to my men and women in the body of Christ.
[00:13:57] This has been weighing heavily on my heart for a while.
[00:14:00] And actually, I just spoke about it with my son this morning.
[00:14:06] And I was telling him the same thing.
[00:14:10] We may all go through different walks in life.
[00:14:17] We experience things on a different level.
[00:14:20] We experience things in our personal life on a different level.
[00:14:29] We experience our Heavenly Father differently from one another.
[00:14:34] Some of us may be a little bit further along in our walk than the other person.
[00:14:41] Some of us may still be on the fence.
[00:14:46] I've certainly encountered a lot of people that are on the fence in their walk.
[00:14:52] Some go to church.
[00:14:53] Some go to church every now and again.
[00:14:55] Some don't go to church at all and some prefer to have church at home via social media or groups.
[00:15:04] But whatever you do, whatever you're doing in the body of Christ for God, especially if you're a leader,
[00:15:12] especially if you're a leader, make sure you're doing it out of love.
[00:15:18] Because everybody's not going to be where you're at.
[00:15:21] That's why I'm having this Bible study.
[00:15:24] And I want to think of another name for it instead of Bible study.
[00:15:28] It's a daily dose.
[00:15:29] But I'm learning as well as reading this word to you guys.
[00:15:37] Some people may have never picked up the Bible at all.
[00:15:41] At all.
[00:15:43] You know, it used to be a time, and I don't know if it still is, where there was plenty of Bibles in the hotel.
[00:15:49] That was one thing you could guarantee.
[00:15:51] It's a Bible somewhere in the hotel motel rooms.
[00:15:55] But people, what I can say is, possibly don't decide not to pick it up if you were like I was when I was in my 20s.
[00:16:07] I didn't understand half of the stuff that I was reading.
[00:16:10] Today, I have a better relationship with God.
[00:16:14] I study His word.
[00:16:17] I go in prayer with Him.
[00:16:19] I spend time with Him.
[00:16:20] And not just when the feeling hits me at church or I'm moved by a song.
[00:16:28] But I spend time with Him.
[00:16:30] Here lately, He's been working with me on my mouth.
[00:16:36] My mouth in personal relationships.
[00:16:38] My mouth outside of personal relationships.
[00:16:42] Being a busybody.
[00:16:44] The Bible speaks of us being busybodies.
[00:16:47] And I'm not just talking about the women.
[00:16:49] Because men can be busybodies as well.
[00:16:53] Gossiping.
[00:16:53] Even if, you know, we're Christians and we think that we're not gossiping.
[00:16:57] Even when you come and tell someone else's business, whether it's church related or not, it's still gossiping.
[00:17:04] You got to ask God to guard your ear gate and your eye gate.
[00:17:11] And even some of the things that you watch.
[00:17:14] Even some of the things that people are saying when they're trying to deliver this word.
[00:17:20] My job is to read this word.
[00:17:23] And then I go on over to my nifty commentary if there's something that I don't understand.
[00:17:28] And I get a little bit more breakdown.
[00:17:30] And then I go to my bishop.
[00:17:32] I go to my aunt.
[00:17:34] And I have a few people that's been walking this walk longer than I have.
[00:17:40] That can give me a little bit more insight.
[00:17:43] But glory be to God, I'm obedient.
[00:17:46] And I know we've heard this saying all our lives that obedience is better than sacrifice.
[00:17:53] And it is.
[00:17:55] But make sure you're being obedient and listen to the things that God tells you to do.
[00:18:00] And not just what people are putting out there.
[00:18:03] Because sometimes we can listen to sermons, testimonies, or other platforms like this.
[00:18:10] And they may very well be on the right path in what they're saying.
[00:18:16] But you may not be quite where they're at.
[00:18:20] So you got to go with what God tells you.
[00:18:24] If he tells you to start from the book of John, start from the book of John.
[00:18:29] If he tells you to start in Revelations and then go back to Genesis.
[00:18:34] You got to start where God feels your spirit.
[00:18:38] But you also got to think about the things that you talk to God about personally.
[00:18:46] And let him guide you.
[00:18:48] If you need strength and you're asking him for strength, find your scriptures that concentrates on strength.
[00:18:57] If your faith is weak, find your scripture that concentrate on your faith.
[00:19:05] If you're fearful, find scriptures that concentrate on fear.
[00:19:12] And like me, in the last couple weeks, God has shown me, actually he was working with me on my mouth.
[00:19:24] People have been telling me for a while that I over-talked them in conversations.
[00:19:31] Especially my husband.
[00:19:32] He's been telling me this for quite some time.
[00:19:34] As well as people that I'm in conversations with.
[00:19:42] I get so excited about what I'm talking about.
[00:19:47] That I don't sometimes realize that I can interject.
[00:19:52] And it's not a great thing to interject.
[00:19:57] When someone else is talking.
[00:20:03] And recently, I said it's because I came from a big family.
[00:20:08] It was nine of us.
[00:20:11] And you had to get in where you fit in.
[00:20:14] You had to get in where you fit in.
[00:20:15] And I guess I would say I'm almost like the middle child.
[00:20:22] It's me and then my brother out of the nine.
[00:20:26] And you just, and then little people syndrome with me.
[00:20:30] I'm four foot 11.
[00:20:32] You got to get in where you fit in.
[00:20:33] But everybody does not communicate like that.
[00:20:38] And it has taken me some years.
[00:20:41] And God slapped me in the face here recently.
[00:20:44] He did subtle slaps prior to this last one.
[00:20:55] Be slow to speak and quick to listen.
[00:20:57] Even if you don't agree.
[00:20:59] And as I was riding along and trying to dissect.
[00:21:03] And try not to get in my feelings about this last situation.
[00:21:07] That is exactly what he said to me.
[00:21:10] Be slow to speak.
[00:21:13] And quick to listen.
[00:21:16] And if you don't like what someone is saying.
[00:21:20] You just don't like what they're saying.
[00:21:21] If you don't agree with what they're saying.
[00:21:23] You just don't agree with what they're saying.
[00:21:26] But do you really have to voice that?
[00:21:29] Or is that something you can keep to yourself?
[00:21:33] Moving on.
[00:21:34] Let's go ahead and get into this word.
[00:21:37] Guys, let's go ahead and get into this word.
[00:21:39] For those of you that are new to the show.
[00:21:41] I turned the cameras off.
[00:21:44] Doing the reading of the word.
[00:21:46] So right now we are in chapter 6.
[00:21:50] And we are reading out of chapter 6 of the book of the Judges.
[00:21:55] This morning I'm ringing out my King James.
[00:21:57] And chapter 6 goes a little bit like this.
[00:21:59] And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord.
[00:22:04] And the Lord delivered them into the hands of the Midian seven years.
[00:22:09] And the hands of the Midian prevailed against Israel.
[00:22:13] And because of the Midianites, the children of Israel made them the dens,
[00:22:19] which are in the mountains and the caves and strongholds.
[00:22:23] And so it was when Israel had sown that the Midianites came up and the Amalites and the children of the east.
[00:22:33] Even they came up against them.
[00:22:35] And they encamped against them and destroyed the increase of the earth.
[00:22:40] Till thou come unto Gaza and left no substance, substance, substance, substance for Israel's neither sheep nor oxen nor ass.
[00:22:55] For they came up with their cattle and their tents.
[00:22:58] And they came as grasshoppers for multitudes.
[00:23:02] For both they and their camels were without number.
[00:23:06] And they entered into the land to destroy it.
[00:23:09] And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites.
[00:23:14] And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord.
[00:23:18] And it came to pass when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord because of the Midianites.
[00:23:23] The Lord sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them,
[00:23:28] Thus says the Lord of Israel,
[00:23:31] I brought you up from Egypt and I brought you forth out of the house of bondage.
[00:23:36] And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of all that oppressed you.
[00:23:44] And drove them out from before you and gave you their land.
[00:23:50] And I said unto you, I am the Lord your God.
[00:23:53] Fear not the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell, but ye have not obeyed my voice.
[00:24:00] And there came an angel of the Lord and sat under an oak tree,
[00:24:08] which was Oprah that pertained unto Joash and Abilazee and his son Gideon,
[00:24:23] threshing wheat by the winepress to hide it from the Midianites.
[00:24:29] And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him and said unto him,
[00:24:32] The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valor.
[00:24:36] And Gideon said unto him,
[00:24:39] O my Lord, if the Lord be with us,
[00:24:42] why then is all this befall us?
[00:24:46] And where be all his miracles,
[00:24:50] which our fathers told us of saying,
[00:24:53] did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?
[00:24:57] But now the Lord have forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
[00:25:05] And the Lord looked upon him and said,
[00:25:07] Go in this thy might and thou shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites.
[00:25:17] Have not I sent thee?
[00:25:19] And he said unto him,
[00:25:21] O my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel?
[00:25:25] Behold, my family is poor in Manasseh,
[00:25:29] and I am the least in my father's house.
[00:25:32] And the Lord said unto him,
[00:25:34] Come surely I will be with thee,
[00:25:37] and thou shall smite the Midianites as one man.
[00:25:42] And he said unto him,
[00:25:45] If I now have found grace in thy sight,
[00:25:48] then show me a sign that thou talkest with me.
[00:25:54] Depart not hence, I pray thee,
[00:25:57] until I come unto thee,
[00:25:58] and bring forth my present,
[00:26:01] and set it before thee.
[00:26:02] And he said,
[00:26:04] I will tarry until thou come again.
[00:26:07] And Gideon went in and made ready a kid
[00:26:12] in unlevy cakes of ephra of flour.
[00:26:16] The flesh he put in a basket,
[00:26:19] and he put the broth in a pot,
[00:26:22] and he brought it out unto him under the oak
[00:26:26] and presented it.
[00:26:27] And the angel of God said unto him,
[00:26:30] Take the flesh in the unleavened cakes,
[00:26:34] and lay them upon this rock,
[00:26:36] and pour out the broth.
[00:26:38] And he did so.
[00:26:40] Then the angel of the Lord put forth the end of his staff
[00:26:43] that was in his hand,
[00:26:45] and touched the flesh in the unleavened cakes,
[00:26:48] and there rose up fire out of the rock,
[00:26:51] and consumed the flesh in the unleavened cakes.
[00:26:55] Then the angel of the Lord departed out of his sight.
[00:26:59] And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the Lord,
[00:27:03] Gideon said,
[00:27:04] Alas, O Lord God,
[00:27:06] for because I have seen an angel of the Lord face to face.
[00:27:11] And the Lord said unto him,
[00:27:13] Peace unto thee.
[00:27:14] Fear not, thou shall not die.
[00:27:17] Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord,
[00:27:21] and called it Jehovah Shalom.
[00:27:25] And until this day,
[00:27:27] it is yet in Oprah of the Abizarites.
[00:27:35] And it came to pass the same night that the Lord said unto him,
[00:27:40] Take thy father's young bullock,
[00:27:42] even the second bullock of the seven years old,
[00:27:47] and throw down the altar of Baal,
[00:27:51] that thy father hath,
[00:27:53] and cut it down,
[00:27:55] and cut down the grove that is by it.
[00:27:58] And build an altar unto the Lord thy God upon the top of this rock,
[00:28:03] and in the ordered place,
[00:28:05] and take it,
[00:28:07] and take,
[00:28:08] let me back up,
[00:28:09] beg my pardon,
[00:28:10] and build an altar until the Lord thy God upon the top of this rock,
[00:28:17] in the ordered place,
[00:28:19] and take a second bullock,
[00:28:21] and offer a burnt sacrifice with the woods of grove,
[00:28:27] which thou shalt cut down.
[00:28:29] Then Gideon took ten men of his servants,
[00:28:32] and did as the Lord had said unto him.
[00:28:36] And so it was,
[00:28:37] because he feared his father's household,
[00:28:40] that the men of the city,
[00:28:42] that he could not do it by day,
[00:28:44] that he did it by night.
[00:28:47] And when the men of the city arose early in the morning,
[00:28:51] and behold,
[00:28:51] the altar of Baal was cast down,
[00:28:54] and the groves was cut down,
[00:28:58] that was by it.
[00:29:00] And the second bullock was offered upon the altar,
[00:29:03] which was built.
[00:29:05] And they said to one another,
[00:29:07] Whom has done this thing?
[00:29:09] And when they inquired and asked,
[00:29:13] they said,
[00:29:14] Gideon,
[00:29:14] the son of Joash,
[00:29:16] has done this thing.
[00:29:18] The men of the city said unto Joash,
[00:29:20] Bring out thy son,
[00:29:22] that he may die,
[00:29:23] because he has cast down the altars of Baal,
[00:29:27] and because he has cut down the groves that was by it.
[00:29:31] And Joash said unto that,
[00:29:33] unto all that stood against him,
[00:29:36] Will ye plead for Baal?
[00:29:39] Will you save him?
[00:29:41] He that will bleed for him,
[00:29:43] let him be put to death,
[00:29:45] while as it is yet morning.
[00:29:47] If he be a god,
[00:29:50] let him plead for himself,
[00:29:52] because one has cast down his altar.
[00:29:56] Therefore,
[00:29:57] on that day,
[00:29:58] he called him Jeroboam,
