[00:01:20] Welcome back to A Daily Dose of Inspiration...30-minute Uplift. It's your girl Victoria J. Welcome
[00:01:27] Welcome in the building one and all on this beautiful day that God has decided to bless
[00:01:33] us in. You guys know what we do. Let's go ahead and give him some praise right now. Where
[00:01:39] are you sitting? Possibly even standing on land if you're on the job or you're laying
[00:01:44] around in your bed. If it's your day off, get up and give him some praise right where
[00:01:49] you're standing. O gracious God!
[00:01:53] We humbly but boldly come to the throne of grace this day, casting all our cares upon you,
[00:01:59] Father God. Heavenly Father, let our minds be renewed in you this day. Give us this day
[00:02:05] our daily bread, Father God, and forgive us for anything that we said, done or thought
[00:02:10] that was unpleasing unto your will, Father God. Heavenly Father, we know that we can
[00:02:15] abide under your shadow as long as we dwell in our secret, dwell in place with you, Father
[00:02:21] God. Heavenly Father, we know that you're the author and the finisher of everything
[00:02:26] in our life. So on this day, Father God, we ask you Heavenly Father, if you could
[00:02:32] just put your arms around us, Father God, Holy Spirit have your way in our life today.
[00:02:39] Throw your weight around, great God. Lead us out of the dark into the light, Father God.
[00:02:46] Heavenly Father, let no weapons form against us prosper on this day. Heavenly Father, take
[00:02:51] care of our leaders and our children, our nation's leaders, our spiritual leaders,
[00:02:57] Father God, our teachers, our deacons, our bishops, our pastors and ministers,
[00:03:03] Father God. Heavenly Father, let the work that we do for you, Father God, be for
[00:03:08] your glory, Father God and not for selfish gain or any other things that we can
[00:03:14] think of. Let us know, Father God, that we can't work for a blessing, but you bless
[00:03:20] all, Father God. You bless the just as well as the unjust. Heavenly Father, we
[00:03:26] thank you, Father God, for all the things that you're doing in our lives. We
[00:03:32] thank you, Father God, that we are coming along as righteous men and women
[00:03:36] that you have called us to be, Father God. Increase in us Holy Spirit wisdom,
[00:03:42] knowledge and understanding on this day in the mighty, mighty name of Jesus.
[00:03:48] We plead the blood over our lives this day. So welcome, welcome, welcome,
[00:03:55] everyone wanting all welcome, welcome, welcome. I hope everybody's feeling
[00:04:01] half as blessed as I'm feeling on this beautiful, beautiful day.
[00:04:05] You know, guys, I have to tell you,
[00:04:10] getting moving right along in
[00:04:15] Joshua as we continue to move along in Joshua.
[00:04:20] These names are getting a little bit hard to pronounce. So I'm hoping that I
[00:04:29] can get it right today.
[00:04:33] I'm hoping that I could get it right today and be able to
[00:04:39] do what we need to do and get it done the way that our Father in heaven wants us
[00:04:45] to get it done.
[00:04:48] I'm feeling especially blessed on this day.
[00:04:53] There's so many amazing things that God does in our lives, and I have to tell
[00:04:57] you guys that
[00:05:02] starting off in church on Sunday has really lifted my spirits. I walked around
[00:05:08] the house just spending time with God today, just blessing his name.
[00:05:13] And you know, when you've done all that you can do in your life, and I feel
[00:05:17] like somebody needs to hear this today. When you've done all that you
[00:05:20] can do when you prayed, when you've got in your work, when you ask
[00:05:25] God for that peace that surpasses all understanding for that joy, for that
[00:05:31] movement in your life.
[00:05:34] Just stand.
[00:05:36] He said when you've done all you can do just stand. He said that
[00:05:42] over in Timothy. Just stand. It was Timothy or either James. Don't
[00:05:47] quote me. But when he was telling us to put on our breastplate of
[00:05:52] righteousness, our helmet of salvation, gird our ways with the
[00:05:56] truth, shut our feet with the gospel of peace. He told us when we've
[00:06:00] done all that we can do when we picked up our sword and our shield,
[00:06:03] just stand. So I'm in my just standing season. I'm in my
[00:06:08] waiting and expectation season. I know you guys have not heard me
[00:06:12] say that in a while. But I'm still waiting and expectation.
[00:06:17] But while we wait in expectation, we are not to just wait and do
[00:06:23] nothing. Praise him while you're waiting. So that is my message
[00:06:28] for today guys. Praise him while you're waiting. Whose report are
[00:06:33] you gonna believe this week? That is my mission to keep that
[00:06:37] right in my rear view. Whose report am I gonna believe? I'm
[00:06:41] not gonna believe God or I'm gonna believe the things that's
[00:06:46] rolling around in my head. The things that Satan wants me to
[00:06:50] remember. I think I'm gonna remember God's report and I'm
[00:06:55] gonna stand on his word. But while I wait, I won't just be
[00:06:59] waiting in vain. I am going to make sure that why I wait. I'm
[00:07:06] waiting and I'm praising him and I am giving him the glory.
[00:07:11] I'm speaking in my heavenly language. I'm asking the Holy
[00:07:15] Spirit to come along and give me some guidance, some direction,
[00:07:19] some understanding. He said, you know, when you get wisdom and
[00:07:24] understanding, he said wisdom and he called wisdom she in the
[00:07:30] Bible. When you get her wisdom and understanding is better than
[00:07:36] rubies is better than silver is better than diamonds and gold.
[00:07:41] So I rather have wisdom and I rather have Jesus. So I hope that
[00:07:45] bless you today. Let's jump on into this book of Joshua chapter
[00:07:49] 16. We're gonna try to get through 16 and 17 today. There's
[00:07:53] 22 chapters in the book of Joshua. So we trying to mosey
[00:07:57] on through guy got some places he wants us to go. So I hope
[00:08:01] this bless your soul and charge it to my heart, my head,
[00:08:04] not my heart with some of these names, but we're gonna
[00:08:07] try to get through this today. Alright, let's go. Let's get it.
[00:08:12] Let's get it. So the book of Joshua goes a little bit like
[00:08:18] this and we are in Joshua chapter 16. And it goes a
[00:08:23] little bit like this. The lot fail to the children of Joshua
[00:08:28] of John. The lot fail to the children of Joseph from the
[00:08:35] Jordan by the Jericho to the waters of Jericho on the east of
[00:08:40] the wilderness that goes up from Jericho through the mountains
[00:08:46] of Bethel. So here we're finding out now that the lot is
[00:08:54] it's it's going to the family of Joseph. And as we know,
[00:09:00] Joseph played a major part in the beginning of the New Testament.
[00:09:08] So and it said then went out from Bethel to love passed along
[00:09:16] the border of the arch, arch, Heights at Adara and went down
[00:09:23] westward to the boundary of the Japapheila Heights.
[00:09:31] To the boundary of the Japapheila Heights as far as the
[00:09:37] boundary of the Lord Beth Horan to geezer and it ended at the
[00:09:44] sea. So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim took their
[00:09:51] inheritance. The border of the children of Ephraim according
[00:09:55] to their family lives was the border of their inheritance on
[00:10:01] the east side was Adara adir as far as upper Beth Horan. And
[00:10:10] the border went out towards the sea of the north side of
[00:10:16] milka Nia. Then the border would around the east side of
[00:10:23] the Neath Shalon, the Neath Shalon and passed by on the east of
[00:10:31] Joe non. Then it went down from didn't went down from Joe non
[00:10:42] to Adara off and from Adara it went down to Nazra. It reached
[00:10:49] to Jericho and came out at the Jordan. The border went out from
[00:10:54] Tapa Funa Tapa Waha Tapa Wa Tapa Wa. Told you these names are
[00:11:04] some doozies westward to the brook of Canaan and ended at
[00:11:11] the sea. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the
[00:11:15] children of Ephraim according to their families, the separate
[00:11:19] cities for the children of Ephraim were among the
[00:11:22] inheritance of the children of Manessa. All the cities with
[00:11:28] their villages and they did not drive out the Canaanites who
[00:11:32] dwelled in Giza. But the Canaanites dwelled among the
[00:11:39] aphorite aphorite my tithes to this day and have become
[00:11:45] forced laborers. There was also a lot for the tribe of Manessa
[00:11:52] where he was the firstborn of Joseph, namely for Machir,
[00:11:58] Makir, the firstborn of Manessa, the father of Galaid because
[00:12:04] he was a man of war. Therefore, he was given Galaid and
[00:12:08] Bayeshawn and there was a lot for the rest of the children
[00:12:12] of Manessa according to the families for the children of
[00:12:16] Abbe-Ezer, the children of Hel-Kah, the children of Ezreal and
[00:12:24] the children of She-Kam, the children of Hefer and the
[00:12:28] children of She-Mada. These were the male children of
[00:12:35] Manessa, the sons of Joseph according to their families.
[00:12:40] Now, but Zeflo had the son of Hazer, the son of Gilead, the son
[00:12:52] of Makah, the son of Manessa had no sons but only daughters
[00:12:59] and these are the names of his daughters.
[00:13:09] Myla, Noah, Hagla and Mil-Kah and Teerza. And they came near before
[00:13:22] Eliezer the priest, before Joshua, the son of Nun, and before
[00:13:27] the ruler saying the Lord commanded Moses to give us an
[00:13:30] inheritance among our brothers. Therefore, according to the
[00:13:34] commandment of the Lord, he gave them an inheritance among
[00:13:38] their father's brothers. Ten shares fell to Manessa besides
[00:13:43] the land of Gilead and Bayeshawn which were on the other side
[00:13:48] of the Jordan because the daughters of Manessa received
[00:13:51] an inheritance amongst his sons and the rest of Manessa's
[00:13:56] son had the land of Gilead and the territory of Manessa
[00:14:01] was from Asher and it was from Asher to
[00:14:10] MacMepha that lies east of Sheikham and the border went along
[00:14:18] the south of the inhabitants to N.Tapua. Manessa had the land
[00:14:26] of Tapua but Tapua on the border of Manessa
[00:14:31] belonged to the children of Ephraim and the border descended
[00:14:35] to the brook of Cana, southwards to the brook. The cities of
[00:14:41] Ephraim are among the city of Manessa. The border of Manessa
[00:14:46] was on the north side of the brook and it ended at the sea.
[00:14:51] Southward it was Ephraim's northward it was Manessa's
[00:14:56] and the sea was its border. Manessa's territory was adjoining Asher
[00:15:03] on the north and Azucar on the east and in Azucar and in Asher
[00:15:09] Manessa had Beth Sheehan in its towns, Iblum in its towns that
[00:15:18] habitants of Dor and its town that habitants of Indor
[00:15:23] and its town that habitants of Canak and its town and the
[00:15:30] habitants of Mechadon in its towns three hilly regions. Yet
[00:15:37] the children of Manessa could not drive out the inhabitants
[00:15:40] of those cities but the Canaanites were determined to
[00:15:43] dwell in that land and it happened when the children of
[00:15:48] Israel grew strong that they put the Canaanites to
[00:15:52] labor but did not utterly drive them out. Then the children of
[00:15:57] Joseph spoke to Joshua saying, why have you given us only one
[00:16:02] lot and one share to inherit since we are a great people
[00:16:08] and as much as the Lord has blessed us until now?
[00:16:12] So Joshua answered them, if you are great people then go
[00:16:15] up to the forest country and clear a place for yourselves.
[00:16:20] There in the land of the Perezites and the giants
[00:16:25] since the mountains of Ephraim are too confined for you but the
[00:16:30] children of Joseph said the mountain country is not enough
[00:16:35] land. The children of Joseph said the mountain country
[00:16:40] is not enough for us and all the Canaanites who dwell
[00:16:44] in the land of the valley have chariots of iron both
[00:16:48] those who are of Bethshen and the towns of those who are
[00:16:54] of the valley of Jezreel. And Joshua spoke to the house of
[00:16:59] Joseph to Ephraim and Manasseh saying you are a great
[00:17:03] people and have great power. You shall not not have only one
[00:17:07] lot but the mountain country shall be yours although it is
[00:17:11] wooded you shall cut it down and its fathers extends
[00:17:15] shall be yours or you shall drive out the Canaanites
[00:17:19] though they have iron chariots and are strong. So that was
[00:17:24] chapter 16 and 17 guys so let's go on over to our commentary
[00:17:29] and investigate a little bit of this before we
[00:17:34] go on over the chapter 18.
[00:17:39] Meet in all my books guys meet in all my books
[00:17:43] but you know what I don't feel like we as people
[00:17:49] should be ashamed of having a bunch of tools that's going to
[00:17:53] help us understand God's word. So let's go on over to the
[00:17:57] commentary and see what the commentary says about it. Now
[00:18:01] I'm using Tony Evans commentary today. I didn't have time to get
[00:18:06] into my other commentary my Matthew Henry. Matthew
[00:18:11] Henry it is a large book. It is to study and sometimes I mean
[00:18:18] there's the print is so small guys sometimes you kind of
[00:18:23] got to have a microscope to just get in there and get
[00:18:26] some of the notes and some of the information that you do
[00:18:29] want out of it. So we're going to go on over and we're
[00:18:33] going to use Tony Evans today because he can be a little
[00:18:36] bit more clear and just give us a simplified breakdown
[00:18:40] just kind of like your simple five bible. So in chapter 16
[00:18:46] Tony Evans he talks about the tribe of Joseph was actually
[00:18:50] divided into two tribes descendants from Joseph's
[00:18:53] sons from Ephraim and Manessa. Those descendants from Ephraim
[00:18:59] received their own inheritance in the land however they
[00:19:03] did not drive out the Canaanites who lived in
[00:19:06] Giza. So the Canaanites would continue to live as Ephraim's
[00:19:11] territory and on their territory as forced laborers
[00:19:15] and it talks about why the scripture tells us this because
[00:19:19] the Canaanites in their adulterous religious practice would
[00:19:23] slowly work against Israel like cancer and guys you
[00:19:27] remember God told them to destroy everything back
[00:19:32] when Moses was leading them he told them what everywhere
[00:19:35] that their foot landed on it was theirs but they were to
[00:19:40] destroy everything. Well you know was it the Edomites they
[00:19:45] eased up on in there with their trickery we just ran
[00:19:49] about that so now we got the Canaanites that are
[00:19:54] refusing to go. So what do they do as some say we go
[00:20:00] alone and get along I guess they kind of want to
[00:20:02] get along and they got this forced labor but it also he goes
[00:20:06] on to say that as we learn in the book of judges and growing
[00:20:11] neglect to drive out the enemy as instructed Israel was
[00:20:16] setting itself up for a fall. So as we move on into the
[00:20:21] new the Old Testament we find the ups and downs that the
[00:20:26] Israelites go through half of it is through the
[00:20:30] hardheadedness being stiff neck people some of it is not
[00:20:34] doing what God said the majority of it is not doing what
[00:20:37] God said and when he told them drive these people and
[00:20:41] replace the germ feet hit drive these people out of the
[00:20:44] land drive them out. So he sums chapter 17 up is he
[00:20:50] said next to travel Vanessa who was Joseph's firstborn
[00:20:53] received this a lot of land which we just read half of
[00:20:58] Vanessa had already received their portion of land on the
[00:21:01] east side of the Jordan but like Ephraim Vanessa did not
[00:21:05] drive out the Canaanites completely either and remember
[00:21:10] Moses gave them a lot of land before he died as they were
[00:21:15] passing through to get to this land of milk and honey
[00:21:19] that overflowed with milk and honey um the Rubinites
[00:21:24] some of them say hey can we have this because it has
[00:21:28] uh water and grass here for the grazing of our animals for
[00:21:33] our animals to be fed it it has the brook of water and
[00:21:37] Moses told him yeah he said as long as when the rest of
[00:21:41] the people get ready to take over their land that your
[00:21:46] mighty men of valor go before us in fight so that is
[00:21:50] what he's talking about there but like Ephraim they did not
[00:21:56] drive out the Canaanites completely from the portion
[00:21:59] the lack of preference left another thorn in Israel side
[00:22:05] and the problem would fester for years to go so Tony
[00:22:09] Evans is telling us about how their lack of disobedience
[00:22:14] that's a part of being disobedient being a
[00:22:16] disobedient to God we are to do the things that he
[00:22:19] instructs us to do and we all fall short your girl I fall
[00:22:22] short all the time and then I end up hitting my head being a
[00:22:27] stiff-knit person and going back a couple days or a
[00:22:30] couple weeks later and saying man God told me to do x y
[00:22:36] z and I knew he was right but in my stubbornness and my
[00:22:41] hard-handedness I didn't follow it or or in my lack of
[00:22:47] being able to kill that flesh I still thought I could ease
[00:22:51] on down the road and get it done this way and there is no
[00:22:54] shortcuts with God there is no shortcuts with our Lord and
[00:22:59] Savior we can't shortcut it when he tells us to do
[00:23:01] something we gotta do something and that takes a lot
[00:23:04] of time to learn that because just like his people
[00:23:09] and he's called Israel his firstborn sons we learned
[00:23:14] that in the beginning of reading this when he brought
[00:23:17] them out of Egypt but his firstborn sons were stiff-knit
[00:23:22] but just like we get chest ties by our earthly father
[00:23:26] our heavenly father we're chest ties us as well
[00:23:29] only thing is I think that we play with God too much we
[00:23:32] play with Jesus too much we play with him because
[00:23:36] he's out of light out of mind especially when you're
[00:23:39] thinking with that carnal mind but if you're
[00:23:42] thinking with your spiritual mind it checks you really quick
[00:23:46] the Holy Spirit would check you it will check you really quick
[00:23:50] now you have a choice of whether you ignore being checked and
[00:23:56] still want to do it your way like majority of us do or you
[00:24:01] really get this thing settled deep down inside but that is
[00:24:05] the portion of um getting to know your best friend getting
[00:24:11] to know the Holy Spirit getting to know your father you're
[00:24:15] gonna bump your hands a few times but the harder you bump
[00:24:18] your head the less than will stick around even longer that
[00:24:23] less than will stick and stay so the next time you come up
[00:24:26] with an obstacle that looks like that or is that exact same
[00:24:30] thing hopefully you've learned something from it
[00:24:33] your girl I have come up with this thing of I don't know
[00:24:36] how to keep my mouth shut I don't know how to stop
[00:24:40] talking I always feel like I gotta have the last word I always
[00:24:44] feel like I gotta tell somebody what I'm thinking how I'm
[00:24:47] thinking combative I still got that combative nature that
[00:24:51] God is trying to break and I can't wait until he completely
[00:24:56] breaks it sometimes I catch myself and I say oh I'm not
[00:24:59] doing that and sometimes I voluntarily give in to my
[00:25:05] emotions and then I end up feeling bad because when the
[00:25:09] Holy Spirit checks me I knew in that moment I should have
[00:25:13] did better but I made the choice to do it my way and those are
[00:25:19] consequences there are consequences to our actions
[00:25:22] just because we can't see God physically with our physical
[00:25:27] eye does not mean that he's not gonna chest us and look at
[00:25:31] it this way you're setting yourself back from getting
[00:25:35] that next level from developing that relationship with
[00:25:39] Christ it's kind of like a husband and a wife when you
[00:25:42] first meet each other you're dating you're happy you're in
[00:25:45] love you want to cuddle you want to hold hands you want to
[00:25:49] send texts you want to do all that stuff to get to know
[00:25:52] that person and that's all God wants us to do with him
[00:25:57] when we meet that special person and they tell us
[00:26:00] something something like I don't smoke so please don't
[00:26:04] smoke around me or don't smoke in my house or don't smoke in
[00:26:07] my car we're gonna go out of our way to accommodate that
[00:26:12] person but we won't go out of our way to
[00:26:16] accommodate God and I have to raise my hand on some of that
[00:26:21] and I'm working on it I'm working on being a work in
[00:26:26] progress because I want when God finishes with me that I
[00:26:31] come out as shiny as a new penny and I don't want to miss
[00:26:35] what God has for me and I'm not talking about blessings
[00:26:38] I'm talking about the job that he appointed just for me
[00:26:43] just like when he appointed the priest he pointed the
[00:26:47] Levi over certain some of them had certain duties
[00:26:51] whether it was cup bearers or or lighting the candles or carrying the
[00:26:56] arc whatever it was all of had a pacific job just like he gives us
[00:27:03] some of us pacific jobs of being teachers ministers deacons bishops and so forth
[00:27:09] I don't want to miss my job I don't want to miss
[00:27:14] what he has for me by being so blinded at looking at the world
[00:27:20] that I miss what he has especially set aside
[00:27:24] that he picked me and said you know what Victoria might be a good teacher
[00:27:30] or a good minister or she could be a good worker in the church whether it's
[00:27:37] sweeping floors or ushering or greeting or whatever that job
[00:27:42] looks like that he picked me for why he's still refining and
[00:27:48] tuning me and making me sit on that potter's wheel reshaping me so that I
[00:27:54] don't have to be conformed to this world anymore
[00:27:58] I can be transformed by the renewing of my mind which is getting into this word
[00:28:03] and getting into what he wants because God said hate the things that I hate
[00:28:08] and love the things that I love so here they're
[00:28:14] lack to do as God said do and get rid of all the
[00:28:19] adversaries whatever they touch their feet down at
[00:28:23] that's what they were supposed to do and they didn't
[00:28:27] we have uh Rahab in her family outsiders foreigners you got the eat
[00:28:34] them nights foreigners now you got the cana nights
[00:28:36] foreigners so their lack of being able to do what God
[00:28:43] said cost them in the long run just like us in our daily
[00:28:46] live so he goes on to say in the midst of these
[00:28:50] verses we are told about the five daughters that the man
[00:28:54] named Zophila had had who had no sons they came
[00:29:00] before the priest eliezer and joshua and the leaders
[00:29:04] and reminded them what the lord had commanded concerning their families
[00:29:07] and remember we read that on last week where they went to joshua and said look
[00:29:13] we have our father is gone we are women there is no males among us but is it
[00:29:20] fair that we don't get our lot we don't get our father what you promised
[00:29:24] to our father because we're women and god told
[00:29:27] joshua no it's not fair they're right so since a land of inheritance was passed
[00:29:35] down from the fathers to the sons these daughters would have received no
[00:29:41] inheritance but other than owning their
[00:29:46] father's land and their father's name they would have been
[00:29:49] forgotten about but years earlier the daughters had
[00:29:53] wisely implored moses to allow them inheritance within the territory of
[00:29:59] manassas and i said joshua but it was uh moses that
[00:30:04] they spoke to and moses spoke to the lord about that matter
[00:30:09] the lord told him to give the daughters their father's inheritance
[00:30:14] furthermore god commanded that when a man dies without having a son transfer his
[00:30:20] inheritance to his daughters and keep him with the lord's instructions in moses's day
[00:30:28] the leaders under joshua faithfully gave the women their inheritance so they did
[00:30:35] follow some instructions like we all do we don't follow all of god's instructions but we follow
[00:30:40] some of god's instructions but we're supposed to follow it all
[00:30:48] since joshua's descendants f ram and manassas were so numerous they asked joshua for more land
[00:30:59] and when joshua directed them to an additional portion of land however the people were
[00:31:04] fearful of the canaanites because the canaanites was there so joshua the courageous leader being it says
[00:31:14] joshua ever being the courageous leader encouraged them that they would drive out the canaanites
[00:31:20] whereas these people saw their own vast number as a problem joshua saw strength and working
[00:31:27] together they could clear additional land to get rid of their enemies and there goes
[00:31:32] that fear word again we talked about that yesterday and i told you guys about how my bishop
[00:31:38] talked about joshua joshua and calip being fearless men even when moses sent them over into the land
[00:31:46] to spy on the land to spy on the people of the land he didn't send them over there because he
[00:31:52] didn't believe god's report that they would be able to eat off the land it's fruits and stuff
[00:31:57] he sent them over there to see what the people looked like what they were doing and to devise a
[00:32:03] plan to take what god told him that they could have with god leading them so that there's that fearlessness
[00:32:13] of joshua again and i like that he made this point when he said they asked for more
[00:32:20] land well unaware that as numerous as they was we're going to ask for more land because it's not
[00:32:30] enough room for us but yet we stand in fear to the canaanites as we sometimes do we sometimes get
[00:32:39] it backwards thank you holy spirit i'm reminded that earlier this week or last week i put my
[00:32:48] mouth on some things i wasn't quite sure about i assumed i assumed that the conversation was about me
[00:32:59] without getting the full story and i went in and i put my mouth on something and i had to go back
[00:33:06] and i had to apologize for that because my assumption and my fear set in sometimes we have
[00:33:18] to be careful about what we say what we do because if we're running for god we're not supposed to be
[00:33:27] fearful but fearless and i thank god that he's allowing me to attack my fear i had a fear of
[00:33:37] being on camera a fear about what people say i had a fear of reading god's word in public
[00:33:44] and not really knowing the ins and outs of god's word but it was just that he never asked me to try
[00:33:54] to explain anything all god told me was read my word aloud publicly i was the one that took
[00:34:03] a step further and tried to start explaining and as i continue to go on i'm gonna need a little
[00:34:11] backup from jesus because i've already stuck my pinky toe in there now but now that i've stuck my
[00:34:18] pinky toe in i better make sure that i cross every t and dot every i my mother used to say
[00:34:29] people will build you up and the same people tear you back down my auntie's saying the same thing
[00:34:36] to me nowadays too you're out there publicly you're reading god's word that's the first obstacle
[00:34:44] she always says i don't know what it is about that name jesus that people despise so much
[00:34:52] but you'll have christian you'll have non christians try to tear you down
[00:34:59] but you stay steadfast in what god's told you to do read his word and if you can explain it a little
[00:35:07] bit explain it a little bit but if you don't know what you're talking about you better back away
[00:35:12] from that thing because the same people that build you up will be the same people to tear you down
[00:35:19] but who you gonna fear you're gonna fear people you're gonna fear god i fear god so i'm gonna
[00:35:25] continue to read his word and i'm going to continue to use tools like our commentaries
[00:35:34] and i'm going to continue to ask god to lead and guide my direction give me some understanding
[00:35:40] and some wisdom to continue to feed me my daily bread so that my light can shine before men
[00:35:49] so that my father in heaven can get the glory because it's all about him getting the glory i don't
[00:35:54] get any receipts for doing what he asked me to do we don't get any receipts for that so these people
[00:36:09] are many but they were fearful many but fearful how does that work you got a thousand people
[00:36:22] but they got people that look like giants or whatever it was that they were fearful of
[00:36:29] because of the size we can't possibly do that well you want more land because it's more you
[00:36:38] than them so that was what joshua was pretty much saying he said we're gonna drive out the canaanites
[00:36:48] and again he said whereas these people saw their own vast numbers as a problem joshua saw strength
[00:36:55] working together they could clear additional land and rid themselves of their enemy
[00:37:02] he also goes on to talk about all of israel gathered in shalom and set up tents of meetings
[00:37:10] and we'll get into chapter 18 on tomorrow this is going to be my last release by audio until
[00:37:22] october the 30th so for all of those that listen to me on spotify amazon apple good pods or wherever

[00:37:36] visit the youtube channel i am on a miniature break and anything that i can cut out there's a little
[00:37:44] bit extra i am cutting it out i still will do this on youtube but i will not be uploading it
[00:37:54] to spotify which is my hosting platform and they destroy it everywhere else not until
[00:38:02] october the 30th or the 31st i've got some things going on i want to take a little personal break
[00:38:10] from social media i want to take a break from um just doing this and i want to spend time with my
[00:38:19] father that is my happy place and i've gotten away from you know spending as much time as i possibly
[00:38:25] can with our heavenly father because this takes a lot sometimes you gotta add it uh you definitely
[00:38:32] got to add it when i upload it it takes a lot of time i still have family and um and before it's over
[00:38:38] with i look up and i've half of my day is gone just trying to add it and shop and do and all
[00:38:44] this stuff and i'm getting away from being in my world that's my happy place and i have to
[00:38:52] continue to fill myself up on a daily basis as we all do as we all do if we miss one day out of our
[00:39:01] world satan to start to attack especially if he's after your gifts if he's after your anointing
[00:39:10] and it'll come from all sides your spouses your children your brothers your sister your
[00:39:15] loved ones the people on the job the people in the grocery store the people at the gas station
[00:39:20] that person that cuts you off it'll come in so many different ways so you gotta constantly continue
[00:39:26] to fill yourself up with something on a daily basis but i hope you guys enjoy this when we come back
[00:39:35] on Wednesday we'll get through chapter 18 and 19 and then on Friday we'll do chapter
[00:39:42] 2021 and 22 because i love getting to the end of joshua and you guys will see why it'll put a question
[00:39:52] in your head that you do not want to miss pondering over but again this week think about it
[00:40:00] who's report are you gonna believe are you gonna believe god's report and he said you can do
[00:40:07] and have everything are you gonna let the devil make a playground of your head i think i'm gonna use
[00:40:15] god's report but that requires me spending some time getting back to spending that quality time
[00:40:25] with him not the time fly by night prayers the fly by night worship the fly by night reading of
[00:40:35] the word but some quality time think about it this way the same way you met your significant other
[00:40:43] and you couldn't wait to punch that clock on Friday because you had planned a date night or whatever it
[00:40:49] was you wanted that quality time with your mate or possibly even in your marriage or relationship
[00:40:55] now you can't wait to the weekend so you can spend that quality time with your spouse well god
[00:41:05] Jesus he needs that quality time let the holy spirit come on into the room and help you give god
[00:41:14] that quality time let him feed your son so that you'll have something to pour back out
[00:41:21] and he'll come right back in and give you another refill i like to think of Elijah
[00:41:27] and the woman with the jars of oil when she ran out of jars he said that's it but when she had all
[00:41:38] this oil and asked what to do because she needed the money he told her go out and borrow jars from
[00:41:49] your neighbors and just keep filling the jars she ran out of jars before she ran out of the
[00:41:57] oil don't run out of guys oil because it'll cost you in the long run peace and blessings until next time
