[00:00:50] Welcome, welcome, welcome. Welcome one and all. Welcome one and all. Come on into the room, guys. Come on into the room. Kick up your feet, sit back, relax, and rest a while.

[00:01:27] It's your girl, Victoria J. Welcome to 12th Street Talk Back, A Daily Dose.

[00:01:33] I hope everybody's feeling blessed on this fine, fine day that God has decided to bless us in. Your girl is feeling mighty blessed on this beautiful, beautiful day.

[00:01:45] Coming off that four-day holiday, I hope everybody had an amazing, amazing Thanksgiving holiday.

[00:01:52] Kicking it back with your friends, with your family, or even if you were just enjoying that much-needed time off and just wanted to be by yourself.

[00:02:06] You know, a lot of us think of Thanksgiving as getting around family and friends, but you do have those that just work so hard and do so much that they like to enjoy those couple days off.

[00:02:20] Just kicking back. You know, when you get off work on Friday sometimes, it seems like the weekend flies by so fast.

[00:02:31] And I know what you guys are saying, what you talking about, Miss Victoria? You don't work nobody's job.

[00:02:36] I used to work somebody's job.

[00:02:39] It hasn't been too long ago that I was out there in the workforce, working second, first.

[00:02:47] I hadn't quite done third shift, but I knew I had those times where I was ready to kick back and relax, especially working second shift.

[00:03:00] Getting off at 1130 and not getting home to a little bit after 12 because I commuted a bit.

[00:03:07] But it seemed like Friday night just ran into Saturday and Saturday.

[00:03:13] You got household chores. You got errands that you got to run.

[00:03:17] And if you got kiddos, man, you got your hands full.

[00:03:20] By the time Sunday gets here, you got church.

[00:03:23] And if you get out of church early enough, then you can get back and relax.

[00:03:28] So you're always somewhere on the go, go, go.

[00:03:31] So I hope everybody had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday.

[00:03:36] Let's go ahead and give God some praise.

[00:03:38] Heavenly Father, we just bless your name right now.

[00:03:41] We thank you, Lord, for leading us out of the dark into the light on this day, Father God.

[00:03:48] We thank you, Lord, for lending your ear to our words as we offer up our Thanksgiving unto you today.

[00:03:55] We thank you, Lord, that you are our strength, that you are our comforter.

[00:03:59] We thank you, Lord, that nothing or no one comes before you in our lives, Father God.

[00:04:06] We thank you, Lord, for making our cricket path straight on this day.

[00:04:12] We thank you, Lord, for letting our light shine unto your people, your men and women, Lord,

[00:04:18] so that you, our Father, in heaven can get the glory.

[00:04:22] We thank you, Lord, for stretching out your righteous right hand upon us and clothing us in your righteousness.

[00:04:30] And most of all, Lord, we thank you for your love.

[00:04:33] We thank you for dying on that cross for us so long, long, long ago.

[00:04:38] Heavenly Father, bless those, those that have ears to hear today.

[00:04:43] Lord, bless those that are sick and shutting in on this day.

[00:04:47] Lord, bless those that have to travel.

[00:04:51] Give them travel mercy and grace.

[00:04:54] Protect our children, Lord, as they travel to and from on the buses.

[00:05:00] Protect their parents as they travel to and from to work, Heavenly Father.

[00:05:06] Let no weapons war against them prosper.

[00:05:09] And let their minds stay steadfast on your word, God.

[00:05:13] As you said, seek thee, the kingdom of heaven, and all your righteousness, and all things shall be added unto us.

[00:05:23] So let's get it, guys.

[00:05:25] Let's get it.

[00:05:28] Let's jump on in to what we're going to talk about today.

[00:05:33] Today, we are going to be over in the book of Judges.

[00:05:37] We're going to be in Judges chapter 9.

[00:05:41] And we just came out of Judges chapter 8.

[00:05:48] And as we came out of chapter 8, excuse me, guys.

[00:05:52] I'm feeling a little bit under the weather.

[00:05:55] But we're going to make it.

[00:05:56] We're going to make it.

[00:05:58] As we came out of Judges chapter 8, Gideon has just slain the Midianite kings.

[00:06:05] He had a little tug of war with Ephraim because Ephraim wanted to know why he hadn't called them out to fight when he first went up against the Midianites.

[00:06:17] And Gideon had to kind of appease them.

[00:06:19] He had to tell them, look, what I've done is not in no comparison of you.

[00:06:27] He said, you know, is it not the gleaming of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abedizer?

[00:06:35] So he was basically pleasing them.

[00:06:38] He said, you know, God has delivered into your hands the princes of the Midian, Oreb, and Zed.

[00:06:45] And he said, what shall I be able to do in comparison of you?

[00:06:50] Their anger subsided and they did not bait Gideon anymore.

[00:06:58] However, when Gideon passed over the Jordan, him and his 300 men, they were a little faint, yet they were still pursuing the kings of the Midianites.

[00:07:10] And he stopped over and the princes of Sutkab asked, he asked them, you know, give me and my army some bread.

[00:07:22] And they refused.

[00:07:26] As it reads, chapter 8, verse 6, the princes of Sutkab said, are the hands of Ziba and Zalamunda now in thy hand that we should give bread into thy army?

[00:07:42] And Gideon said, therefore, when the Lord has delivered Ziba and Zalamunda into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briars.

[00:07:56] And he went up thus to Penel and spake unto them likewise.

[00:08:02] And the men of Penel answered him in the same manner that the men of Sutkab had answered him.

[00:08:08] And he spoke unto the men of Penel saying, when I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.

[00:08:15] So in his pursuit, he went on to capture Ziba and Zalamunda as they fled, the two kings of Midian.

[00:08:27] And after he had caught them, he went on back.

[00:08:31] And what he said he was going to do to the people that wouldn't help them, he did.

[00:08:37] But not only would you not think that they wouldn't help him, he was after all who God had chosen to lead the people,

[00:08:48] to lead Israelite out of the hands of the Midian.

[00:08:52] So why would you not help God?

[00:08:58] As it happens, he took the elders, as he said, of the city and the thorns of the wilderness and briars.

[00:09:12] And with them, he talked the men of Sutkab.

[00:09:16] Then he beat down the towers of Penel and slew the men of the city.

[00:09:22] He also killed Ziba and Zalamuna.

[00:09:28] And he went on to, I guess you would say, get ready to take rest.

[00:09:39] But not before the people, not before the people asked him if he could rule over them.

[00:09:47] Him, his sons, and his sons' sons.

[00:09:50] But Gideon told him, no, the Lord is your ruler.

[00:09:54] He will rule over you.

[00:09:59] They just hadn't learned.

[00:10:02] They just haven't learned.

[00:10:04] However, he did ask of them to give him every man's gold earring of his prey.

[00:10:13] Because the Ishmaelites were accustomed to wearing earrings.

[00:10:17] In total, he got earrings.

[00:10:24] He got purple remnants, collars, and chains that hung around the camel's necks.

[00:10:35] And all, it was thousands.

[00:10:38] And it was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold.

[00:10:45] Besides the ornaments and the collars and the purple remnants.

[00:10:51] And Gideon made an effort.

[00:10:57] And he put it in his city, even in Oprah.

[00:11:00] And the Israelites did what they do.

[00:11:03] What they've been doing.

[00:11:05] The whole book of judges.

[00:11:07] They whored their self out.

[00:11:10] My King James Bible tells me.

[00:11:14] Just so y'all know.

[00:11:16] I'm not cussing.

[00:11:17] Just because I want to cuss.

[00:11:21] But it says.

[00:11:23] And Gideon made an ephah.

[00:11:25] Therefore, and put it in the city.

[00:11:27] And even Oprah and all the Israel went there.

[00:11:32] A horn after it.

[00:11:33] Which the thing became a snare.

[00:11:37] Into Gideon and his house.

[00:11:39] So, Gideon kind of did himself a disservice.

[00:11:43] Because he gave them yet another thing to worship besides their God.

[00:11:47] But you would think they would know by now.

[00:11:49] But, again, we have to think about this as generations.

[00:11:54] Because, again, they have been taken over by different inhabitants.

[00:12:01] That they just didn't get rid of.

[00:12:04] They've had several judges come through.

[00:12:07] So, it can't be possibly the same generations.

[00:12:11] There may be a few elders sprinkled here and there.

[00:12:16] But, again, somebody forgot to tell them.

[00:12:22] Do not leave the gate open.

[00:12:25] Because this is what happens when you are disobedient.

[00:12:29] When you don't follow God's rules.

[00:12:32] And he told them from the gate.

[00:12:36] Slay everything moving.

[00:12:39] When I deliver into your hands.

[00:12:42] The land that overflows.

[00:12:45] With milk and honey.

[00:12:47] So, as we dig into chapter 9.

[00:12:52] Let's go ahead and read it.

[00:12:54] Out of our King James.

[00:12:57] Judges chapter 9.

[00:13:00] Abimelech made king.

[00:13:01] And Abimelech, the son of Jeroboam, went to Shechem and to his mother's brethren.

[00:13:07] And communed with them.

[00:13:10] And with all the family of the house of his mother's father.

[00:13:13] Saying, speak, I pray, in the ear of all the men of Shechem.

[00:13:18] Whether it is better for you.

[00:13:20] Either that all the sons of Jeroboam.

[00:13:23] Which are three scores and ten persons.

[00:13:27] Reign over you.

[00:13:28] Or that one reign over you.

[00:13:31] Remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.

[00:13:36] And his mother's brethren spoke to him in the ears of all the men of Shechem.

[00:13:40] And all these words.

[00:13:45] Let me reread that, guys.

[00:13:46] And his mother's brethren.

[00:13:49] Spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem.

[00:13:54] All these words.

[00:13:56] And their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech.

[00:13:59] For they said, he is our brother.

[00:14:03] And they gave him three scores and ten silver pieces.

[00:14:07] Out of the house of Baal birth.

[00:14:12] Wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light persons which followed him.

[00:14:18] And he went into his father's house at Oprah.

[00:14:21] And he slew his brethren.

[00:14:23] The son of Jeroboam.

[00:14:24] Being three scores and ten persons upon one stone.

[00:14:28] Notwithstanding.

[00:14:29] Yet Jotham, the youngest son of Jeroboam.

[00:14:33] Was left.

[00:14:34] For he hid himself.

[00:14:38] And all the men of Shechem gathered together.

[00:14:40] And all the house of Milo.

[00:14:42] And went and made Abimelech king.

[00:14:46] By the plain of the pillar that was in Shechem.

[00:14:50] And when they told it to Jotham.

[00:14:53] He went and stood in the top of the Mount Gizram.

[00:14:58] And lifted his voice and cried.

[00:15:00] And said unto them, hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem.

[00:15:05] That God may hearken unto you.

[00:15:08] The trees went forth on a tom to anoint a king over them.

[00:15:12] And they said unto the olive tree, rain over us.

[00:15:16] But the olive tree said unto them, should I leave my fatness wherewith by me?

[00:15:22] They honor God and man.

[00:15:24] And go to be promoted over the trees?

[00:15:29] And the tree said to the fig tree, come thou and rain over us.

[00:15:33] But the fig tree said unto them, should I forsake my sweetness and my good fruit and go and be promoted over the trees?

[00:15:47] And then said the trees unto the vine.

[00:15:51] Come thou and rain over us.

[00:15:54] And the vine said unto them, shall I leave my wine which cheareth God and man and go to be promoted over the trees?

[00:16:03] Then said all the trees unto the bramble, come thou and rain over us.

[00:16:08] And the bramble said unto the tree, if in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow.

[00:16:16] And if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

[00:16:23] Now, therefore, if ye have done truly and sincerely in that ye have made Abimelech king.

[00:16:30] And if ye have dealt well with Jeroboam and his house and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands.

[00:16:41] For my father fought for you and adventured his life far and delivered out, delivered you out of the hands of the medium.

[00:16:53] And yea, I risen up against my father's house this day and have slain his son, three scores and ten persons upon one stone.

[00:17:01] And have made Abimelech the son of his maidservant, king of the men of Shechem, because he is your brother.

[00:17:11] If ye then have dwelt truly and sincerely with Jeroboam and with his house this day,

[00:17:19] then rejoice ye in Abimelech and let him also rejoice in you.

[00:17:25] But if not, let the fire come out from Abimelech and devour the men of Shechem and the house of Milo.

[00:17:33] And let the fire come out from the men of Shechem and from the house of Milo and devour Abimelech.

[00:17:39] And Jotham ran away and fled and went to Beer and dwelt there for the fear of Abimelech, his brother.

[00:17:51] When Abimelech had reigned three years over Israel, God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem.

[00:17:59] And the men of Shechem dwelt treacherously with Abimelech.

[00:18:03] That the cruelty done to the three scores and ten sons of Jeroboam might come in their blood be laid upon Abimelech, their brother, which slew them.

[00:18:14] And upon the men of Shechem, which aided him in the killing of his brothering.

[00:18:20] And the men of Shechem set layers in wait for him at the top of the mountain.

[00:18:25] And they robbed all that came along that way by them.

[00:18:28] And it was told to Abimelech.

[00:18:31] And Gael, the son of Edbed, came with his brethren and went over to Shechem.

[00:18:39] And the men of Shechem put their confidence in him.

[00:18:42] And they went out into the fields and gathered their vineyards and trotted the grapes and made merry and went into the house of their God and did eat and drink and curse Abimelech.

[00:18:56] And Gael, the son of Edbed, said, Who is Abimelech and who is Shechem that we should serve him?

[00:19:03] Is not he the son of Jeroboam?

[00:19:06] And Zebul, his officer, served the men of Hamor, the fathers of Shechem?

[00:19:15] And he said, And why would, and why would to God this people were under my hand?

[00:19:24] Then would I remove Abimelech?

[00:19:27] And he said to Abimelech, Increase their army and come out.

[00:19:31] And when Zebul, the ruler of the city, heard the words of Gael, the son of Edbed, his anger was kindled.

[00:19:40] And he sent messengers into Abimelech, privily saying, Behold, Gael, the son of Edbed, and his brethren,

[00:19:50] be come to Shechem.

[00:19:53] And behold, they're fortified the city against thee.

[00:19:58] Now, therefore, by night, thou and the people that are with thee, and lay in wait in the field.

[00:20:10] And it shall be that in the morning, as soon as the sun is up, thou shall rise up early and set upon the city.

[00:20:18] And behold, when he had the people that is with him come out against thee,

[00:20:23] then mayest thou do to them as thou shalt find occasion.

[00:20:29] And Abimelech rose up, and all the people that were with him by night, and they laid a wait against Shechem in four companies.

[00:20:38] And Gael, the son of Edbed, went out and stood in the entrance of the gate of the city.

[00:20:43] And Abimelech rose up, and the people that were with him from lying in wait.

[00:20:48] And when Gael saw the people, he said to Zebel, Behold, there come people down from the top of the mountains.

[00:20:59] And Zebel said unto him, Thou seest the shadow of the mountains as if they were men.

[00:21:06] And Gael spake again and said, See, there come people down by the middle of the land,

[00:21:13] and another company come along by the plain of Mewonim.

[00:21:21] Then said Zebel unto him, Where is now thy mouth wherewith thou sittest?

[00:21:31] Who is Abimelech that we should serve him?

[00:21:35] Is not this the people that thou hast despised?

[00:21:39] Go out, I pray now, and fight with them.

[00:21:43] And Gael went out before the men of Shechem and fought with Abimelech.

[00:21:48] And Abimelech chased him, and he fled before him.

[00:21:51] And many were overthrown and wounded, even into the entering of the gate.

[00:21:57] And Abimelech dwelled at Aramah.

[00:22:02] And Zebel thrust out Gael and his brethren that they should not dwell in Shechem.

[00:22:09] And it came to pass on the morrow that the people went out into the field, and they told Abimelech.

[00:22:16] And he took the people, and he divided them into three companies, and laid wait in the field, and looked.

[00:22:24] And behold, the people come forth of the city.

[00:22:28] And he rose up against them and smote them.

[00:22:31] And Abimelech and the company that was with him rushed forward

[00:22:35] and stood in the entering of the gate of the city.

[00:22:39] And the two other companies ran upon all the people that were in the fields and slew them.

[00:22:45] And Abimelech fought against the city all day.

[00:22:48] He took the city and slew the people that was therein,

[00:22:53] and beat down the city and sowed it with salt.

[00:22:57] And when all the men of the tower Shechem heard that they had entered into a hold

[00:23:02] of the house of the god of Beirth.

[00:23:08] And it was told Abimelech that all the men of the tower of Shechem were gathered together.

[00:23:15] And Abimelech got him up to the mountain of Zelma, he and all the people that were with him.

[00:23:23] And Abimelech took an axe in his hand and cut down a bro from the trees and took it and laid it on his shoulder.

[00:23:34] And he said unto the people that were with him,

[00:23:37] What ye have seen me do, make haste, and do as I have done.

[00:23:43] And all the people likewise cut down every man his bro and followed Abimelech,

[00:23:49] and put them to hold and set the hold on fire upon them,

[00:23:54] so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died, also about a thousand men and women.

[00:24:03] Then went Abimelech to the Bez, Abes, and encamped against the Bez and took it.

[00:24:12] But there was a strong tower within the city, and there fled all the men and women,

[00:24:18] and all they of the city, and shut it to them, and get them up to the top of the tower.

[00:24:26] And Abimelech came unto the tower and fought against it,

[00:24:29] and went hard unto the door of the tower to burn it with fire.

[00:24:33] And a certain woman cast a piece of millstone apart of Abimelech's head,

[00:24:39] and all to break his skull.

[00:24:42] Then he called hastily unto the young man, his hammer-bearer,

[00:24:45] and said unto him, Draw thy sword and slay me,

[00:24:49] that men say not of me.

[00:24:51] A woman slew him.

[00:24:53] And his young man thrust him through, and he died.

[00:24:57] And when the men of Israel saw that Abimelech was dead,

[00:25:00] they departed every man into his place.

[00:25:03] Thus God rendered the weakness of Abimelech,

[00:25:08] which he did unto his father, and slaying his seventy brothers.

[00:25:13] And all the evil of the men of Shechem did God render upon their heads,

[00:25:19] and upon them came the curse of Jotham, the son of Rubabal.

[00:25:25] And that, my friends, was chapter nine.

[00:25:29] So basically, Abimelech, Gideon's son.

[00:25:39] Gideon's son decided that he was going to make himself king.

[00:25:49] So what did he do?

[00:25:51] According to my commentary, it says, you know,

[00:25:55] perhaps his mother put it in his ear.

[00:25:58] Perhaps it was because of his name,

[00:26:05] his father's name being great among the Israelite people,

[00:26:10] that he sought after this leadership position

[00:26:15] that nobody really told him that he could have.

[00:26:19] I mean, after all, they wasn't at war with anybody.

[00:26:23] God hadn't pointed anybody at judge.

[00:26:26] And seemingly so, they were at peace.

[00:26:29] So why did he want to be king?

[00:26:32] Why do most of us want to be in positions of leadership?

[00:26:36] It's the power.

[00:26:38] It's the power kick.

[00:26:42] So, with a little bit of nudging from his mother and his own thoughts,

[00:26:46] because Gideon, Jeroboam, a mighty man of valor,

[00:26:51] had brought the Israelites to victory.

[00:26:56] Abimelech, being the son of one of Gideon's wives,

[00:27:03] a cockabon, a concubine, decided,

[00:27:08] hey, I want all this for myself.

[00:27:11] So what he did was,

[00:27:15] he went to his mother's family in the city of Shechem.

[00:27:23] Let me go back.

[00:27:25] He went to his mother's family in Shechem.

[00:27:29] It was a city in the tribe of Ephraim.

[00:27:34] And he said to them,

[00:27:37] wouldn't it be better

[00:27:40] if one person reigned over you

[00:27:43] instead of having 70 sons to contend with?

[00:27:47] Because after all, Gideon had 70 sons.

[00:27:49] He had wives.

[00:27:50] He had concubines.

[00:27:53] So they agreed.

[00:27:55] Seemingly, possibly, maybe,

[00:27:59] they would get something out of it

[00:28:00] at the reign of Abimelech.

[00:28:05] But unpronounced to them,

[00:28:08] Abimelech didn't do much.

[00:28:09] All he did was take the title.

[00:28:14] According to my commentary

[00:28:15] and some other nifty little notes

[00:28:18] that I have here,

[00:28:20] he really didn't do anything.

[00:28:23] He didn't make any magic happen

[00:28:25] in the city for the Israelites.

[00:28:29] All he did was become king.

[00:28:32] And they aided and embedded in this

[00:28:34] by giving him the 70 pieces of silver

[00:28:38] to hire these villains,

[00:28:41] these hit men,

[00:28:42] to come along and kill his brother.

[00:28:45] He killed brothers.

[00:28:47] He killed them one by one

[00:28:48] on the same stone as we heard.

[00:28:53] And rode off into the sunset.

[00:28:55] It wasn't until years later

[00:28:58] that God decided,

[00:29:00] you know what?

[00:29:03] Enough of these shenanigans.

[00:29:06] What we gonna do right here is,

[00:29:08] I'm gonna allow Satan

[00:29:09] to have his way.

[00:29:14] And that is what he did.

[00:29:17] He allowed,

[00:29:18] God allowed Satan

[00:29:22] to have that spirit of jealousy

[00:29:27] creep up in there

[00:29:28] between the two parties.

[00:29:31] And the men of Shechem,

[00:29:33] the leaders,

[00:29:34] they decided

[00:29:35] that they had had enough

[00:29:37] of Abimelech.

[00:29:39] So what did they do?

[00:29:41] In return,

[00:29:43] they enlisted Gael,

[00:29:46] a son of a slave.

[00:29:48] But Gael had his own issues

[00:29:50] with Abimelech

[00:29:51] in Shechem.

[00:29:53] He was rebellious

[00:29:55] against authority.

[00:29:57] He was rebellious

[00:29:59] against Abimelech.

[00:30:01] So he boasted

[00:30:02] and he took his brethren up

[00:30:06] to kill

[00:30:07] and destroy

[00:30:09] Abimelech

[00:30:10] and his people.

[00:30:11] But,

[00:30:12] you always have a traitor

[00:30:13] in the midst.

[00:30:15] Zebo,

[00:30:16] a Zebo,

[00:30:16] Zebo,

[00:30:17] I'm not sure

[00:30:18] if I'm saying it right.

[00:30:19] Guys charge it to my head

[00:30:20] and not my heart.

[00:30:22] Zebo,

[00:30:23] I believe it is.

[00:30:26] He was an officer

[00:30:28] of Abimelech.

[00:30:30] He also was

[00:30:31] a leader

[00:30:31] in Shechem.

[00:30:32] And he passed

[00:30:34] messages

[00:30:36] to Abimelech

[00:30:38] about what Gael

[00:30:39] and his brothers

[00:30:40] planned to do.

[00:30:41] How they planned

[00:30:42] to set

[00:30:43] a trap

[00:30:44] for Abimelech.

[00:30:48] How they planned

[00:30:49] to get rid of him.

[00:30:52] To smote him

[00:30:53] as they say.

[00:30:57] Zebo,

[00:30:58] the snake

[00:30:59] in the midst

[00:31:00] of the garden

[00:31:00] kind of reminds you

[00:31:02] of Eve

[00:31:04] and the serpent.

[00:31:06] there's always

[00:31:07] a snake

[00:31:08] in our midst

[00:31:09] somewhere

[00:31:11] lurking.

[00:31:13] Sometimes

[00:31:14] they could be

[00:31:15] those friends

[00:31:16] that turn out

[00:31:17] to be foes.

[00:31:18] The ones that

[00:31:19] smile in your face

[00:31:22] and cut you

[00:31:23] behind your back.

[00:31:25] Talk about you.

[00:31:27] Tear you down.

[00:31:28] And some

[00:31:30] go as far

[00:31:31] as to put

[00:31:32] their hands

[00:31:32] in it

[00:31:33] and do

[00:31:33] evil deeds

[00:31:35] to us.

[00:31:36] Thank God

[00:31:37] we serve

[00:31:38] a mighty God.

[00:31:39] And we can say

[00:31:40] let no weapon

[00:31:41] form against us

[00:31:42] prosper.

[00:31:44] Or how about

[00:31:45] as Psalms

[00:31:46] would say,

[00:31:47] let them get

[00:31:48] caught

[00:31:49] in their own

[00:31:50] net.

[00:31:53] let them

[00:31:54] get caught

[00:31:54] in their

[00:31:54] own

[00:31:55] snare.

[00:31:57] The same

[00:31:58] trap

[00:31:58] that they

[00:31:59] set

[00:32:00] for us.

[00:32:01] Let it

[00:32:01] be set

[00:32:02] against

[00:32:03] themselves.

[00:32:05] So,

[00:32:06] Zebo,

[00:32:07] the snake

[00:32:08] in the army

[00:32:10] between the

[00:32:11] two,

[00:32:12] he goes on

[00:32:13] and he tells

[00:32:13] Abimelech,

[00:32:14] you know what,

[00:32:16] this is what

[00:32:17] your man

[00:32:17] plan on

[00:32:18] doing,

[00:32:18] Gael.

[00:32:19] But,

[00:32:20] you can beat

[00:32:21] him to the

[00:32:21] punch

[00:32:22] if you go

[00:32:23] on up

[00:32:24] and you

[00:32:25] catch them

[00:32:25] in the night

[00:32:26] and do

[00:32:27] what you

[00:32:27] gotta do.

[00:32:28] So,

[00:32:29] Abimelech,

[00:32:30] with this

[00:32:30] newfound

[00:32:31] information,

[00:32:32] does just

[00:32:33] that.

[00:32:35] He catches

[00:32:36] Gael.

[00:32:38] Gael,

[00:32:39] well let me

[00:32:39] back up a

[00:32:40] little bit.

[00:32:41] Not before

[00:32:42] Zebo

[00:32:44] tells Gael,

[00:32:45] hey,

[00:32:47] weren't you

[00:32:48] one with

[00:32:48] all the

[00:32:49] mouth

[00:32:50] that said

[00:32:51] that you

[00:32:53] was gonna

[00:32:53] do this

[00:32:53] and do

[00:32:54] that or

[00:32:54] you didn't

[00:32:55] like Abimelech?

[00:32:57] He said,

[00:32:57] go out and

[00:32:57] fight him.

[00:32:58] So,

[00:32:59] Zebo,

[00:33:02] he didn't

[00:33:03] hide the

[00:33:03] fact in

[00:33:04] the long

[00:33:04] run

[00:33:06] that he

[00:33:07] was the

[00:33:08] one that

[00:33:08] gave the

[00:33:09] information

[00:33:10] up on

[00:33:11] them and

[00:33:11] what they

[00:33:11] were about

[00:33:13] to do.

[00:33:15] He

[00:33:15] didn't

[00:33:16] hide

[00:33:16] that

[00:33:17] fact.

[00:33:17] And we

[00:33:17] have some

[00:33:18] people

[00:33:18] that's so

[00:33:19] envious,

[00:33:19] so jealous,

[00:33:21] so spiteful

[00:33:22] in our

[00:33:23] lives,

[00:33:24] around us,

[00:33:24] that they

[00:33:26] won't hide

[00:33:27] it either.

[00:33:28] They're quick

[00:33:29] to boast

[00:33:30] about their

[00:33:30] evil deeds.

[00:33:32] But God

[00:33:32] always has

[00:33:34] a ram

[00:33:35] in the

[00:33:36] bush.

[00:33:38] And this

[00:33:39] is what

[00:33:39] he does.

[00:33:41] Abimelech,

[00:33:42] Abimelech,

[00:33:43] he goes

[00:33:44] on to

[00:33:44] run

[00:33:45] Gael

[00:33:45] and his

[00:33:46] brethren.

[00:33:48] She can.

[00:33:50] They put

[00:33:51] them out.

[00:33:52] They're not

[00:33:53] able to

[00:33:53] come back

[00:33:54] to that

[00:33:55] land.

[00:33:56] I'm told

[00:33:57] by my

[00:33:58] commentary,

[00:33:58] this is

[00:33:59] the last

[00:33:59] that we

[00:34:00] hear of

[00:34:01] Gael

[00:34:01] and his

[00:34:02] brethren.

[00:34:04] However,

[00:34:07] Abimelech

[00:34:08] goes a

[00:34:09] little bit

[00:34:09] further

[00:34:11] in his

[00:34:12] quest

[00:34:13] of killing

[00:34:14] the people

[00:34:16] that helped,

[00:34:17] that aided

[00:34:18] and abed

[00:34:19] Gael and

[00:34:20] said,

[00:34:20] hey,

[00:34:21] we sick

[00:34:21] of this

[00:34:21] nonsense

[00:34:22] too.

[00:34:22] So he

[00:34:23] slew thousands

[00:34:24] of men

[00:34:24] and women,

[00:34:26] possibly

[00:34:27] children too.

[00:34:30] He burned

[00:34:31] them out.

[00:34:32] He killed

[00:34:33] them.

[00:34:34] Some were

[00:34:34] caught in

[00:34:34] towers.

[00:34:35] But the

[00:34:36] last of

[00:34:37] the last

[00:34:38] that was

[00:34:39] caught

[00:34:39] in that

[00:34:40] final

[00:34:41] tower,

[00:34:43] it was

[00:34:44] a woman

[00:34:44] that said

[00:34:45] a certain

[00:34:46] woman

[00:34:47] dropped a

[00:34:49] millstone

[00:34:50] on the

[00:34:51] head of

[00:34:52] Abimelech

[00:34:55] and he

[00:34:56] fell

[00:34:57] to his

[00:34:59] death.

[00:34:59] But not

[00:35:00] before

[00:35:02] he asked

[00:35:03] his armor

[00:35:03] bearer

[00:35:04] to pull

[00:35:05] out his

[00:35:06] sword

[00:35:06] and drive

[00:35:08] it into

[00:35:08] him.

[00:35:09] Far be

[00:35:09] it from

[00:35:11] him or

[00:35:12] any of

[00:35:12] the men

[00:35:13] to say

[00:35:14] that he

[00:35:15] was killed

[00:35:16] by a

[00:35:17] woman that

[00:35:21] we all

[00:35:21] have.

[00:35:22] Even

[00:35:23] though,

[00:35:25] even

[00:35:26] though

[00:35:26] it's a

[00:35:27] man here

[00:35:28] saying it

[00:35:29] and most

[00:35:30] of us

[00:35:31] women

[00:35:32] will say

[00:35:33] men are

[00:35:34] very prideful

[00:35:34] but in

[00:35:35] this day

[00:35:36] and time

[00:35:36] we're all

[00:35:38] very prideful.

[00:35:40] That's a

[00:35:41] no-no

[00:35:42] with God.

[00:35:45] He said

[00:35:46] there are

[00:35:46] six things

[00:35:47] that I

[00:35:47] hate

[00:35:48] and seven

[00:35:49] are

[00:35:50] abomination

[00:35:50] and the

[00:35:51] first thing

[00:35:52] that he

[00:35:52] lists is

[00:35:53] a proud

[00:35:54] look.

[00:35:56] Lying

[00:35:57] tongue.

[00:36:00] We got

[00:36:01] all of

[00:36:02] this in

[00:36:02] this scenario.

[00:36:04] Oh,

[00:36:05] but wait

[00:36:05] as we

[00:36:06] go and

[00:36:07] get into

[00:36:07] chapter 10

[00:36:09] on

[00:36:09] Wednesday

[00:36:10] we're

[00:36:11] going to

[00:36:11] find out

[00:36:12] that

[00:36:13] Jotham

[00:36:15] he's

[00:36:16] going to

[00:36:16] enter

[00:36:16] into

[00:36:17] the

[00:36:17] scene.

[00:36:18] But God

[00:36:18] always gets

[00:36:19] the last

[00:36:20] laugh,

[00:36:20] guys,

[00:36:21] just as

[00:36:22] he did

[00:36:22] here.

[00:36:24] Just as

[00:36:25] he did

[00:36:25] here.

[00:36:25] You could

[00:36:26] say that

[00:36:27] he rerouted

[00:36:28] them just

[00:36:29] where he

[00:36:29] wanted them

[00:36:29] to be.

[00:36:31] And as

[00:36:31] they thought

[00:36:32] they were

[00:36:32] going to

[00:36:33] burn out

[00:36:33] some more

[00:36:34] people

[00:36:34] in a

[00:36:35] tower,

[00:36:37] he got

[00:36:38] a skull

[00:36:39] with a

[00:36:40] millstone.

[00:36:42] God uses

[00:36:45] women

[00:36:45] mightily

[00:36:46] throughout

[00:36:46] his word.

[00:36:48] And as

[00:36:49] it pertains

[00:36:50] to today,

[00:36:51] you have

[00:36:52] some people

[00:36:53] that banter

[00:36:54] back and

[00:36:54] forth and

[00:36:55] say,

[00:36:57] a woman

[00:36:58] should be

[00:36:58] doing certain

[00:36:59] things in

[00:36:59] the house

[00:37:00] of the

[00:37:00] Lord.

[00:37:04] What I

[00:37:05] say to

[00:37:06] that is,

[00:37:07] let God

[00:37:08] use you.

[00:37:09] Let him

[00:37:10] use you

[00:37:10] in a

[00:37:11] mighty

[00:37:11] way.

[00:37:11] Now

[00:37:12] don't be

[00:37:12] like a

[00:37:13] Bimelech.

[00:37:14] And self

[00:37:15] appoint

[00:37:16] yourself

[00:37:16] a title.

[00:37:18] We've got

[00:37:18] a lot of

[00:37:19] that going

[00:37:20] on out

[00:37:20] here in

[00:37:21] these social

[00:37:22] media

[00:37:22] streets,

[00:37:23] whether it's

[00:37:24] on YouTube,

[00:37:25] whether it's

[00:37:26] on Tick

[00:37:26] and the

[00:37:27] Talk,

[00:37:27] whether it's

[00:37:28] on the

[00:37:29] IG or

[00:37:31] the Book

[00:37:31] of Faces.

[00:37:32] We got a

[00:37:33] lot of

[00:37:34] people that

[00:37:35] has given

[00:37:35] themselves

[00:37:36] self

[00:37:37] appointed

[00:37:38] titles like

[00:37:39] apostles,

[00:37:41] prophet,

[00:37:42] prophetess,

[00:37:44] you hear

[00:37:45] those two

[00:37:46] rolling

[00:37:46] around so

[00:37:48] much here

[00:37:48] lately.

[00:37:53] Don't be

[00:37:54] like, let

[00:37:57] God use

[00:37:58] you in a

[00:37:58] mighty way.

[00:38:00] Stay in

[00:38:00] prayer.

[00:38:01] Develop that

[00:38:02] friendship.

[00:38:03] Love him.

[00:38:04] Show him

[00:38:05] that you

[00:38:05] love him

[00:38:06] for him

[00:38:08] and not

[00:38:09] for the

[00:38:09] blessings

[00:38:10] that he

[00:38:11] can bestow

[00:38:11] upon your

[00:38:12] life.

[00:38:14] Show him

[00:38:15] that you

[00:38:15] love him

[00:38:16] because he

[00:38:17] died.

[00:38:18] He's been

[00:38:19] his only

[00:38:19] begotten

[00:38:20] son that

[00:38:22] who should

[00:38:22] ever believe

[00:38:23] in him

[00:38:23] should not

[00:38:24] perish but

[00:38:25] have everlasting

[00:38:27] life.

[00:38:28] He died

[00:38:28] for our

[00:38:29] salvation,

[00:38:30] for our

[00:38:30] sins,

[00:38:32] a horrific,

[00:38:34] horrible death,

[00:38:35] and if for

[00:38:35] nothing else,

[00:38:38] that's a

[00:38:39] blessing,

[00:38:40] that's selfish

[00:38:41] less.

[00:38:42] He was

[00:38:44] selfless

[00:38:45] in doing

[00:38:46] that.

[00:38:47] And he

[00:38:48] didn't need

[00:38:48] to twist

[00:38:51] his arm.

[00:38:52] His father

[00:38:53] didn't need

[00:38:54] to twist

[00:38:54] his arm,

[00:38:55] should I

[00:38:55] say,

[00:38:59] to do what

[00:39:00] he needed

[00:39:00] to do

[00:39:01] to fulfill

[00:39:03] what he

[00:39:05] came to

[00:39:05] do for

[00:39:07] us.

[00:39:09] We're so

[00:39:10] busy in

[00:39:11] our own

[00:39:11] way sometimes,

[00:39:12] most of

[00:39:13] the time.

[00:39:15] Our arms

[00:39:16] need to be

[00:39:16] twisted.

[00:39:17] And again,

[00:39:18] your girl's

[00:39:19] not exempt

[00:39:20] from this

[00:39:20] because anytime

[00:39:21] we're reading

[00:39:23] or talking

[00:39:24] about God's

[00:39:24] word and

[00:39:26] what he

[00:39:26] expects from

[00:39:27] us, we

[00:39:28] should be

[00:39:29] able to

[00:39:30] rake some

[00:39:31] of that in

[00:39:31] for ourselves,

[00:39:32] not if all

[00:39:33] of it in

[00:39:34] for ourselves

[00:39:36] and apply it

[00:39:37] to our lives.

[00:39:38] Meditate on

[00:39:39] that word and

[00:39:40] think about

[00:39:41] how it can

[00:39:45] help us.

[00:39:47] Think about

[00:39:47] how.

[00:39:56] there is

[00:39:57] nothing new

[00:39:58] under the

[00:39:59] sun.

[00:40:01] Ecclesiastics

[00:40:02] tell us

[00:40:02] that.

[00:40:03] And everything

[00:40:04] that we're

[00:40:05] going through

[00:40:05] in life right

[00:40:06] now is just

[00:40:07] a repeat

[00:40:09] of what's

[00:40:10] already

[00:40:11] happened.

[00:40:12] Read your

[00:40:12] word.

[00:40:14] Go to your

[00:40:15] scripture.

[00:40:16] You'll find

[00:40:17] out all of

[00:40:19] the stuff

[00:40:20] from the

[00:40:20] Old Testament

[00:40:21] going into

[00:40:22] the New.

[00:40:24] It happened.

[00:40:26] Paul

[00:40:27] reiterates

[00:40:27] it in

[00:40:29] most of

[00:40:30] the New

[00:40:30] Testament

[00:40:30] as he

[00:40:31] travels,

[00:40:34] teaching and

[00:40:35] leading the

[00:40:36] people.

[00:40:38] So,

[00:40:38] as we get

[00:40:40] into Judges

[00:40:41] chapter 10

[00:40:41] on Wednesday,

[00:40:43] I hope this

[00:40:44] blessed your

[00:40:45] soul.

[00:40:45] if you have

[00:40:46] any thoughts

[00:40:46] on it,

[00:40:47] leave it

[00:40:48] in the

[00:40:49] comments

[00:40:49] below.

[00:40:51] Don't forget

[00:40:52] to hit that

[00:40:53] like button.

[00:40:56] hit that

[00:40:57] bell.

[00:40:58] Subscribe.

[00:40:59] So,

[00:40:59] anytime we

[00:41:00] drop an

[00:41:01] episode of

[00:41:02] Daily Dose

[00:41:02] or Freedom

[00:41:03] Fridays,

[00:41:04] you guys

[00:41:05] will get

[00:41:06] that notice

[00:41:07] and leave

[00:41:08] a comment

[00:41:08] if you like.

[00:41:10] Please,

[00:41:11] try to say

[00:41:12] something positive

[00:41:13] and if you

[00:41:14] have some

[00:41:14] correction for

[00:41:15] your girl,

[00:41:16] I'm humble

[00:41:16] enough to

[00:41:17] take it as

[00:41:18] long as

[00:41:19] you've done

[00:41:19] your research

[00:41:20] and we

[00:41:20] can match

[00:41:21] up and be

[00:41:22] on one

[00:41:22] accord.

[00:41:24] With that

[00:41:25] being said,

[00:41:25] guys,

[00:41:27] peace and

[00:41:27] blessings to

[00:41:28] you all.

[00:41:29] If you can't

[00:41:29] do anything

[00:41:30] else today,

[00:41:31] give someone

[00:41:31] a kind word

[00:41:32] but a hot

[00:41:32] meal goes

[00:41:33] a long,

[00:41:34] long way.

[00:41:34] This is the

[00:41:35] season of

[00:41:36] giving.

[00:41:37] We just

[00:41:37] came out

[00:41:37] of Thanksgiving

[00:41:38] rolling on

[00:41:39] into Christmas

[00:41:41] and,

[00:41:42] you know,

[00:41:42] people's hearts

[00:41:43] are a little bit

[00:41:44] open more

[00:41:45] around this

[00:41:45] season.

[00:41:46] So,

[00:41:46] what better

[00:41:47] time to be

[00:41:48] a blessing

[00:41:48] to someone

[00:41:50] today?

[00:41:51] Thank you,

[00:41:51] Miss Rui,

[00:41:52] for coming

[00:41:53] over to

[00:41:53] Freedom Fridays

[00:41:54] and Friends,

[00:41:54] having that

[00:41:55] gals chat

[00:41:56] with me on

[00:41:56] Friday.

[00:41:57] Guys,

[00:41:57] if you did

[00:41:58] not check

[00:41:58] out that

[00:41:59] episode,

[00:42:00] it's me

[00:42:00] and Miss

[00:42:01] Rui,

[00:42:01] my

[00:42:01] compadre,

[00:42:03] gals over

[00:42:03] 50,

[00:42:04] just chopping

[00:42:05] it up about

[00:42:05] life,

[00:42:07] giving some

[00:42:07] of our wisdom

[00:42:08] that we got

[00:42:08] from our

[00:42:09] mothers and

[00:42:09] our fathers

[00:42:10] and some

[00:42:11] of the things

[00:42:12] that we

[00:42:13] went through

[00:42:13] in life

[00:42:14] that we

[00:42:15] didn't

[00:42:16] exactly

[00:42:17] apply that

[00:42:18] wisdom to

[00:42:18] our life

[00:42:19] and we have

[00:42:20] a lot of

[00:42:20] fun doing

[00:42:21] it.

[00:42:22] Miss Riri

[00:42:22] of

[00:42:24] Miss

[00:42:24] Riri

[00:42:25] Says

[00:42:25] should be

[00:42:26] popping in

[00:42:27] and out

[00:42:28] of season

[00:42:29] seven as we

[00:42:30] go along

[00:42:30] as well as

[00:42:31] some more

[00:42:32] fabulous,

[00:42:33] fabulous,

[00:42:33] wonderful guests.

[00:42:35] Look out,

[00:42:36] guys,

[00:42:36] because if you

[00:42:38] thought the

[00:42:39] Queen's Table

[00:42:41] Talk was

[00:42:42] something to

[00:42:43] contend with,

[00:42:45] we got the

[00:42:46] King's Table

[00:42:48] Talk coming

[00:42:49] up in season

[00:42:50] seven.

[00:42:51] Until next

[00:42:52] time,

[00:42:53] peace and

[00:42:54] blessings to

[00:42:55] you all.
