[00:01:07] Well, we tried this earlier and it did not work because I did not have the volume on

[00:01:19] the right setting as I told you guys that joined me in the previous live on Facebook and

[00:01:28] on YouTube.

[00:01:29] I was trying to set up a new camera yesterday and apparently it changed itself in the

[00:01:41] settings and that's what it is.

[00:01:45] It changed itself in the settings.

[00:01:47] So even though my camera was working, my mic was not working because I had to go back and

[00:01:54] set it back to the previous camera that was up there.

[00:01:58] So thank you guys for your patience.

[00:02:01] I know it's 1 o'clock but we could have afternoon praise and worship.

[00:02:06] I'm not going to go back through the prayer because I do believe that when you're praying

[00:02:11] and God lays something on your heart at that moment, you can't repeat the same thing.

[00:02:16] What I will say to all my listeners right now is, you know, thank God for the fellowship.

[00:02:36] That should be my prayer to God, you know, time management.

[00:02:41] My time management is all over the place.

[00:02:44] But when you're dealing with someone else's time, then you have to feature a schedule around

[00:02:51] their time and sometimes you gotta make adjustments and, you know, it hasn't been an easy feat

[00:02:57] these last couple months at a doctor after doctor and car practice or physical therapy.

[00:03:02] So y'all just pray my strength in the Lord that all this will be over soon.

[00:03:09] My car practice got me down the two days a week instead of three days a week.

[00:03:14] And so hey, we gonna go with it.

[00:03:17] But for those of you that missed, for those of you that couldn't hear because you couldn't

[00:03:23] hear it, those of you that couldn't hear this morning, we gonna go back and we're gonna

[00:03:27] read the story of Rahab.

[00:03:30] Rahab as I told you guys earlier this week, I'm reading out of the book and it's this book,

[00:03:36] The Women of the Bible for a colored women.

[00:03:39] It's a nifty little book that I picked up at my local Walmart maybe three to five years

[00:03:43] ago that I had land around, that I had every intention on reading some of it.

[00:03:48] I did read and I can't lie.

[00:03:50] I didn't read it all way to the end because I said to myself, I can read it out the Bible

[00:03:55] however, as I picked it back up here lately, I'm starting to realize that I should have

[00:04:05] been reading it all along just for a little bit of encouragement.

[00:04:08] Let's talk about Rahab for women's history month.

[00:04:13] Rahab willing to be used by God.

[00:04:16] Rahab story shows that God can use anyone.

[00:04:19] Rahab was a prostitute whose house was part of Jericho's defense wall.

[00:04:26] When Joshua sent spies into Jericho, the spies lodged in Rahab's house and with the king

[00:04:33] of Jericho sent the soldiers in search of the spies, Rahab courageously hid them on

[00:04:40] the rooftop and told the king soldiers that the spies were not there.

[00:04:46] Because of her great courage and kindness, the spies promised Rahab that her family would

[00:04:50] not be harmed during the destruction of Jericho.

[00:04:54] And just before Rahab helped the spies escape safely through a window, they instructed her

[00:04:59] to hang a scarlet cord from the window so that the Israelites will be able to identify

[00:05:05] the family that should be spared.

[00:05:08] Rahab told the spies that she had heard stories about God's miracles and that she recognized

[00:05:14] their God as one true God.

[00:05:17] Rahab's story has taught women throughout the time that God uses whoever he chooses

[00:05:21] to fulfill his mission.

[00:05:24] God doesn't always choose the most righteous.

[00:05:26] He chooses those who are willing, who are the most willing.

[00:05:32] Rahab's belief in God gave her courage to help the spies.

[00:05:37] The greater news however is that in spite of the fact that she was a prostitute, God chose

[00:05:43] her to assist Joshua in his mission to capture Jericho.

[00:05:47] Her faith earned her a place in the hubrues hall of faith and a listening in the genealogy

[00:05:56] of Jesus.

[00:05:57] When God comes into our hearts, we can truly become new people however we must remain

[00:06:03] faithful and searching for the courage and the bonus that allows us to take the first

[00:06:08] step towards Him.

[00:06:12] And as women of God, we must remember that not this count others who cannot act as we

[00:06:17] do.

[00:06:18] They too may be used by God and can become new creatures.

[00:06:23] So guys, as we get into this afternoon, I wanted to go ahead and own over.

[00:06:34] And I wanted to talk to you guys about chapters six.

[00:06:41] We're going to go into chapter six right now.

[00:06:45] Thank God we got all the technology back up and doing what it needs to do.

[00:06:51] We got some volume, we got some picture.

[00:06:54] So let's go.

[00:06:55] Let's go read this rehab and not rehab.

[00:06:59] Oh gosh, let me, let's go read this chapter six.

[00:07:04] Joshua and how they managed to have the walls of Jericho come down.

[00:07:13] Then Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel.

[00:07:17] None of them went out and none came in.

[00:07:20] The Lord said to Joshua, we'll see I have given Jericho into your hands.

[00:07:24] It's king and the mighty man of value.

[00:07:28] You shall march around the city, all you man of war.

[00:07:32] You should go all around the city once this you shall do six days and seven priests

[00:07:39] shall bear seven trumpets of ramps horns before the arc.

[00:07:45] But the seventh day you should march around the city seven times and the priest shall blow

[00:07:50] the trumpets.

[00:07:52] It shall come to pass when they make a long blast with the ramps horn and when you hear

[00:07:59] the ramps horn in the sound of the trumpet that all the people should shout out with a

[00:08:04] great shout, then the wall of the city will fall down flat.

[00:08:10] And the people shall go up every man straight before him.

[00:08:15] Then Joshua, the son of none called the priest and said to them, take up the arc of covenant

[00:08:20] and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of ramps horns before the arc of the Lord.

[00:08:28] And he said to the people proceed and march around the city and let him who is armed at

[00:08:34] the ramps before the arc of the Lord.

[00:08:37] So it was when Joshua had spoken to the people that the seven priests bear in the seven

[00:08:42] trumpets of ramps horns before the Lord had bans and blew the trumpets and the arc of

[00:08:49] covenant of the Lord followed them.

[00:08:52] The armed men went before the priest who blew the trumpets and the rear guard came after

[00:08:57] the arc while the priests continued blowing the trumpets.

[00:09:02] And Joshua had commanded the people saying, you shall not shout or make any noise with

[00:09:08] your voice.

[00:09:09] Nor shall a word proceed out your mouth and to the day I say to you shout then you shall

[00:09:15] shout.

[00:09:17] So he had the arc of the Lord circle the city going around at once and then they came

[00:09:24] into the camp and lodged in the camp.

[00:09:27] And Joshua rose early in the morning and the priest took up the arc of the Lord.

[00:09:33] The seven priests bear in seven trumpets of ramps horn before the arc of the Lord went

[00:09:39] on continually and blew with the trumpets and the armed men went before them but the rear

[00:09:45] guard came after the arc of the Lord while the priests continued blowing the trumpets.

[00:09:53] And the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp so

[00:09:58] they did six days.

[00:10:01] But it came to pass on the seventh day that they rose early about the dawning of day

[00:10:06] and marched around the city seven times in the same manner and on that day only they

[00:10:12] marched around the city seven times.

[00:10:15] And the seventh time it happened when the priest blew the trumpets that Joshua said to

[00:10:21] the people shout for the Lord has given you the city.

[00:10:27] Now the city shall be doomed by the Lord to destruction it and all who are in it only

[00:10:33] rehab the harlot should live and she and all are who are with her in her house because

[00:10:39] she hid the messengers that we sent and you by all means abstain from accused things

[00:10:49] unless you become accused.

[00:10:53] When you take out the accused things make the camp of Israel a curse and a trouble in

[00:11:00] it but all the silver and the gold and the vessels of bronze and iron are consecrated to

[00:11:08] the Lord they shall come into treasure of the Lord so the people shout it when the priest

[00:11:16] blew the trumpets and it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet

[00:11:21] and the people shouted with a great shout that the wall fell down the land.

[00:11:27] Then the people went up into the city every man straight before him they took the city

[00:11:33] and they utterly destroyed all that was in the city both man and woman young and old

[00:11:39] up and sheep and donkey with the edge of the sword.

[00:11:48] But Joshua has said to the two men who had fought out the country go into the harlot's house

[00:11:55] and from there bring out the woman and all that she has as you swore to her and the young

[00:12:01] man who had been spies went in and brought out rehab her father her mother her brothers

[00:12:07] and all that she had so they brought out all her relatives and left them outside the

[00:12:13] camp of Israel.

[00:12:16] But they returned they burned the city and all that was in it with fire only the silver

[00:12:21] and the gold and the vessels of the bronze and iron they put into a treasure of the house

[00:12:26] of the Lord and Joshua spared rehab the harlot her father's household and all that she

[00:12:33] had so she dwelt in Israel to this day because she hid the messengers from Josiah that

[00:12:41] Josiah whom Josiah sent to spy out Jericho.

[00:12:47] Then Josiah charged them at that time saying curse be the man before the Lord who rises up

[00:12:55] and builds the city Jericho.

[00:12:58] He shall lay his foundation with his firstborn and with the youngest he shall set up its gates.

[00:13:05] So the Lord was with Josiah not Josiah Joshua and his fame spread throughout all the country

[00:13:15] so that was chapter 6 you guys again I am so sorry about the live stream those that

[00:13:26] you of the of you guys I'm so tired today those of you that are going to hear it on audio

[00:13:33] please start it to my head and not to my heart but we made it through.

[00:13:39] So my take on this as I walk into life is first of all it's amazing the things that God

[00:13:51] tells us that he's going to do for us by faith.

[00:13:55] Faith be in the substance things helped or but the evidence of things unseen.

[00:14:04] Joshua had the faith especially after as we read in chapter 5 the commander of the Lord's

[00:14:14] army said to Joshua take your sanders off the foot of a place where you stood it is holy

[00:14:20] and Joshua did so the commander of God's army.

[00:14:25] God himself showed himself to Joshua in a form in a form I remember going up in prayer

[00:14:43] and I hadn't intended on going up in prayer and I did I went to the restroom and I came

[00:14:53] back and the prayer line had dwelled doing dope down and I walked up to the bishop and he

[00:15:04] asked me you know what do you want me to pray for today and I said I don't really know

[00:15:10] but something just keeps pulling me to the prayer line and I said I'm not going to say

[00:15:19] what I said because I think that's personal but I told him my prayer request thank you Holy

[00:15:24] Spirit because everything is not for everybody's ears especially when you hear from God you

[00:15:32] got to hold that close to the best his instructions just as Joshua did here but anyway

[00:15:39] I remember telling him my prayer request and it was like a small steel voice and he said to me

[00:15:51] do you believe he said to me do you believe and I looked at him and I said yes and it seemed

[00:16:04] like everything around me when he said do you believe everything around me just became bright

[00:16:13] and as I began to look in his eyes it was like his eye color change to this beautiful shade of

[00:16:19] grain and I was animal guys I was out it was like somebody blew something on me after I said yes

[00:16:31] and I said that in light of the fact that Joshua was met by the commander of the army which my

[00:16:47] commentary told us just today was the presence of God reminding him and us to this day that he

[00:16:55] always be with us and when I was in that altar when I was in that prayer line when the bishop's voice

[00:17:06] seemed like a small steel whisper and I need to you know back that up not seem it was a small

[00:17:13] steel whisper that I could only hear every noise everything was blocked out

[00:17:20] and I could have sworn I seen one of the many faces of our Heavenly Father

[00:17:32] and I got my answer that day what I had asked the bishop

[00:17:39] and as I went on my day getting out of church coming back home it was the most beautiful feeling

[00:17:50] I was on this most beautiful high that I couldn't shake and those of you that are familiar with

[00:17:59] the Holy Spirit coming into your life all you gotta do is invite a man

[00:18:07] when the Holy Spirit falls on you as it did Peter and the rest of the disciples and all the women

[00:18:14] that were up there in the upper-round tearing praying it said in that moment when the Holy Spirit

[00:18:24] I should end it was like a mighty washing wind and the tongues divided and settled on each one

[00:18:35] of them and all of them began to speak in a different language but you have to remember that Jesus

[00:18:44] had told them to wait that it would come that they will receive the same thing that he walked

[00:18:53] the earth in debt blessed on top of blessing the mighty power of the Holy Spirit speaking and tongues

[00:19:02] as we like to call them used me that was my case that day that was my case that day I literally

[00:19:14] could not stop speaking in the gift of tongues that God had rested on me I'd stop for a little while and

[00:19:23] thought I had it under control when you know go off and watch the dishes and just couldn't watch

[00:19:30] the dishes just couldn't do nothing and when I get like that till this day

[00:19:36] I feel God's presence all over me not only his presence

[00:19:46] but that's my heavenly language and all though I may not understand everything that I'm saying

[00:19:56] I know God is attention I know that we're having a conversation I know that he is blessing me

[00:20:06] continually that he's with me just like right here with Joshua and people and his favor surrounds us

[00:20:19] like a shield that musters seek me that's some serious words that people take so lightly because it

[00:20:29] is very very very very very small but it is very powerful when God rests on you

[00:20:38] and my seasoned people would say God is not a feeling he's not a feeling I agree to disagree

[00:20:51] and I say that because no one he's resting on me I know he's always surrounded us

[00:21:01] he's always there when you need him all you got to do is ask him to come on in sitting rest

[00:21:10] awhile I've conversation with you but when he's really resting on me that thing is like a mighty

[00:21:25] rushing wind and all is calm you guys remember when Peter walked on water do you remember

[00:21:41] when Jesus was sound asleep in the seas was unruly storm and sun might say

[00:21:51] don't quote me on it I'm abberbin here because you know I remember the story but not every word

[00:21:58] could have been a storm it could have just been wrestling wrestling see but Jesus was sleep

[00:22:07] but when they called out to him and I panic he rose and he said one more

[00:22:14] words he speaks still calm the seas whether it was peace be still or whether he just said calm

[00:22:23] well stop I can't remember it verbatim because we'll read something and we might get a word

[00:22:33] or two ohm and you know in this society we live today you got to come correct especially

[00:22:41] when you're talking about God's word but in my mind I would like to say think that he was saying peace be

[00:22:51] be still

[00:22:55] hmm but anyway

[00:23:00] and Joshua the son of none had a specific set of instruction that he followed to the latter

[00:23:11] and the people followed him as well and when we're giving a specific set of instructions

[00:23:20] follow it

[00:23:25] and we will sometimes second-guess ourselves especially when we're fresh and we knew in the word

[00:23:34] even if we're seasoned sometimes we'll ask ourselves that I really hear that from God

[00:23:40] and God have to come along and confirm it through someone through that person place or thing

[00:23:51] you'll have to come along and confirm that yes you hurt which you hurt and sometimes we can hear

[00:23:57] stuff and still want to do it our way that's what just happened to me with the mic being out of it

[00:24:03] and the camera didn't want to come up for the live I got into a conversation with my hubby

[00:24:13] and it went left people have problems they just have problems might have a situation

[00:24:20] that a go-or-rise with one simple word

[00:24:26] that can make the whole conversation go live

[00:24:31] and God had to remind me and all my praise and worship this morning and all given him the glory

[00:24:39] don't let Satan have his way it wasn't the two of us that was agitated

[00:24:48] I like to think that I was stumping on the devil's hand this morning because I was in here getting it

[00:24:56] y'all just fellowshiping with my heavenly father and it was a couple of hours three or more

[00:25:06] but when you're giving God all that praise and all that glory Satan is always somewhere lurking

[00:25:15] he tried to rise up with a simple conversation but information

[00:25:24] and I had to fall back and remember what God had to deposit it in me

[00:25:28] but right here in Joshua if the people wouldn't have followed the instructions that was given from God

[00:25:40] to Joshua or the people in order for the wall of Jericho to come down

[00:25:48] then it couldn't left but because Joshua kept these specific instructions and the people listened

[00:26:02] with a listening ear and a heart for God

[00:26:10] they were able to see the wall of land my Bible tells me

[00:26:19] so as we go through life and I'm always saying whether it's in the Old Testament or the New Testament

[00:26:26] we can get some encouragement we can get some discipline from God we can get some insight

[00:26:32] from the Holy Spirit we just gotta be open to listen with our heart listen with our ears

[00:26:42] so I like to think that when I have my little moment as I just finished reading the whole chapter

[00:26:56] see it and had the conversation with hubby that almost slightly went loud

[00:27:03] that but because I listen the guy when he said to me stop right there

[00:27:14] and just drop it

[00:27:18] it was almost like he was saying he's be steel

[00:27:23] I gave you a specific set of instructions following victory

[00:27:34] be still and know that I am God I am the great I am Jehovah's Eye

[00:27:42] the great Messiah

[00:27:43] the one who searched for someone to swear by and couldn't swear by anybody but himself

[00:27:57] that's what I would like to think and that's the wall that's a part of the wall there is many layers

[00:28:04] to walking with God you just gotta be open to listen with your heart and your ears

[00:28:14] I was explaining to someone yesterday the great conversation

[00:28:21] that when God etches the words of his daily bread across the tables of your heart

[00:28:29] the book you're not gonna be able to remember the whole book somebody some

[00:28:33] some people have a photographic memory and can remember every scripture

[00:28:39] and that's great some people study a lifetime to do this

[00:28:47] minister's bishops I study a lot

[00:28:53] but I remember it the story that place that in my heart this morning too

[00:29:01] the memory of the righteous is bland

[00:29:07] and I was telling this person that when God revealed to me

[00:29:12] I'm a storyteller when I talk about the world

[00:29:18] I'm a storyteller

[00:29:21] I can read it and I can tell it back to you like a story

[00:29:26] I may not remember every piece of scripture but he has etched some of it across the

[00:29:34] tables of my heart and I'm waiting for the increase I want him to do more and more and more

[00:29:41] I'm a little greeting

[00:29:46] I'm a little greedy

[00:29:49] but I'm waiting in expectation

[00:29:53] I believe that we are waiting for something

[00:30:00] for God to do on our lives

[00:30:04] I'm waiting in expectation for him to use me mildly

[00:30:11] but he got to grow me and feel me up first

[00:30:15] he got to feel me all the way up like he says in this world

[00:30:20] feel my cup up to a overflow

[00:30:25] I can stay on that plight as well and be broken down

[00:30:32] and reshaped and molded for his perfect wing

[00:30:40] but

[00:30:41] I might think in my mind

[00:30:47] because he's brought me so far that we got it right

[00:30:51] and just when I think that I got it right

[00:30:55] you'll tear me down to build me back up again

[00:31:00] the tear down is not a punishment

[00:31:04] whether it's a person place or thing something that's going wrong

[00:31:07] in your life because we think of it as warm wrong as human beings the tear down

[00:31:14] is to build up that endurance

[00:31:20] trials and tribulations is to build up that enduring

[00:31:27] so we have faith to stand and God he's never gonna let you know whether he's going to go left

[00:31:33] or right and he tells us in his word never go left never go right stay straight

[00:31:39] and some of you guys have been following me for a while with more than inspiration

[00:31:44] you're probably used to me stand my grandmother said go straight and turn right

[00:31:52] meaning if you got anything in your life that you know

[00:31:56] that's unpleasant unto God you being disobedient

[00:32:01] playing that up go straight and turn right turn it turn it turn that thing around

[00:32:06] he's showing it to you

[00:32:10] I don't know how many of you know about asking God to show you your heart

[00:32:17] but when you ask him to show you your heart be ready

[00:32:21] and be careful what you ask for because he will show it to you

[00:32:27] he'll show you your heart now help clean you up a little bit more

[00:32:32] but he did say in his word that when we draw close to him

[00:32:38] he draws close to us

[00:32:42] draw not a man I'll draw not a you

[00:32:47] so as well as

[00:32:51] into it with saying in rehab the prostitute

[00:32:58] our featured woman for black not for black for women's history month excuse me part me

[00:33:10] she was a prostitute that lived on the wall of Jericho

[00:33:14] this is another example of God gets to choose who he wants to choose

[00:33:24] or his glory everything that he does in our life

[00:33:30] if we are believers

[00:33:35] he does it for his glory you don't get no receipts out of that

[00:33:40] you don't get no receipts out of that doing his good works

[00:33:45] but he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him

[00:33:55] now the rest of that is but fake without but without faith that is impossible to

[00:34:01] please him for he who comes to God must believe that he is a reward of those who diligently seek him

[00:34:16] we get the reward sometimes

[00:34:19] and being used by God like right hand

[00:34:28] in an extended to her immediate family

[00:34:36] be careful who you judge

[00:34:39] be careful who you judge

[00:34:42] because God can use them in a mighty mighty way and I had to learn that and I'm still learning

[00:34:50] it because we still fighting that flesh remember remember you will never be able to tame your flesh

[00:35:00] but you can fall down on your knees do you heavenly father and try to be obedient

[00:35:06] in this wall be obedient as much as you can

[00:35:13] Joshua's obedient

[00:35:15] obedient saying the Israelites obedience allowed him to see the wall of Jericho fall down

[00:35:24] they were able to shout out to the Lord given some glory because he did exactly what he said he

[00:35:30] was going to do he was going to deliver the king and Jericho and all his mighty men of valor into his hands

[00:35:43] so as we embark on this journey on Friday we'll read into chapter 7

[00:35:52] and we have a special guest Karen Cameron is coming to the show she's gonna have a gift
