[00:01:09] everybody's filled with blessed all this beautiful Monday afternoon that God

[00:01:14] has decided to bless us again let's go ahead and give them some praise right

[00:01:19] where you sit in right where you're standing right where you're laying

[00:01:23] and perhaps perhaps you just still lounging around in your bed taking the day off

[00:01:31] meditate on God's word we hope but with all that being said let's give them some

[00:01:38] praise let's give them some glory as we go into this Easter weekend he is the

[00:01:45] reason for Easter Sunday Heavenly Father we thank you so very much for

[00:01:51] waking us up on this beautiful beautiful day that you decided to breathe your

[00:01:56] breath into our bodies Heavenly Father we thank you for your grace and your

[00:02:02] mercy because we know that it is new and everlasting every single day of our

[00:02:09] lives Heavenly Father as we go out into our day-to-day Father God let our

[00:02:15] minds and our hearts stay steadfast on your word Father God may we hear word from

[00:02:21] you today Father God let our light shine ever so brightly Father God so you

[00:02:26] can get the glory Father God may we magnify your name and uplift you Father God

[00:02:32] on this day Father God let us take apart cross let us take up your yoke Father

[00:02:38] God because it is easy and it is light in the mighty name of Jesus we pray a man

[00:02:46] and a man I hope everybody's filling blast on this beautiful

[00:02:53] beautiful day that he has decided to bestow upon us you know I woke up this

[00:03:01] morning with great joy in my heart I woke up this morning feeling blessed just

[00:03:08] feeling blessed and will rested after coming off a week of not feeling the

[00:03:15] greatest I wasn't feeling my best and I just decided that you know I would

[00:03:22] take a couple days off so we miss Friday but we're back I'm back at it back in

[00:03:28] good spirits try to be in good spirits that is but every day that our Heavenly

[00:03:33] Father wakes us up that is a day to be in good spirit so guys let's jump into

[00:03:40] what we're gonna read today for our women's history month international hits

[00:03:47] history month it's coming to a close it's coming to a close but guess what guys

[00:03:51] we going dive into today Teymar and we gonna take this week on out it's gonna be

[00:03:58] Easter Sunday before we know it and you know what guys I'm so excited about

[00:04:05] Easter I'm excited about spring I love the spring time I love when the trees

[00:04:13] began to bloom we end up with season out here they are just so beautiful but I

[00:04:21] love the fact that we go into the beautiful seasons that got created for us all

[00:04:26] he created you know the heavens and the earth you know the sun the moon the stars

[00:04:33] and as we go into a new season we go into a fresh new beginning of something

[00:04:40] something that God has given to us whether it be a new job whether it be a new

[00:04:49] perspective on life whether it be just being in a happy mood I talked a little bit

[00:04:57] last season as we went into the winter about the seasonal disorder and unbeknownst to me

[00:05:05] as I was getting into that talking about the winter blues and whatnot it also comes

[00:05:11] around to certain people in the spring that I read about so I'm glad to be

[00:05:19] getting out of that funky mood of just cold weather especially with rain and

[00:05:24] I'm glad to be entering in to the spring time I mean it still rains in the spring

[00:05:30] in the summer but it's more of a warm rain than a cold rain and my body does good with

[00:05:36] the warm weather so I'm happy about that I'm happy to be able to spread some joy

[00:05:43] and cheer to my friends and my family members and hopefully be able to get out a

[00:05:48] little bit more and move around and just fellowship with like-minded people

[00:05:54] and as we embarked on this week I hope you guys found something in your word

[00:06:01] that'll make you feel blessed I have on my board today I'm gonna move this over a

[00:06:06] little bit I have on my board today now my faith is the substance of things hope

[00:06:12] for and the evidence of things not seen I also have on my board but without

[00:06:19] faith it is impossible to please him for he who comes to God must believe that

[00:06:25] he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him I also have

[00:06:34] let your light shine before man that they may see your good works and

[00:06:39] glorify your father in heaven and that's been on my mind for a past couple

[00:06:47] months now just letting my light shine before me and not for fashion not for a

[00:06:53] show not to be seen a man or woman but so that my father can get the glory out

[00:06:59] of it and I've been meditating on that guys I've been meditating on you know what

[00:07:05] I want to move for with what God's plan is for me and I know we can never guess

[00:07:11] what God wants for us but he can give us some insight all we got to do is ask him

[00:07:19] what his plan is he'll give us a little bit of insight he's never gonna let us

[00:07:24] know which direction he's gonna go but he will give us some insight on that so

[00:07:31] let's get into our word today I'm gonna just let God lead me today he led me to

[00:07:36] the story of Teymar in the book that I've been reading to you guys the women

[00:07:42] of the Bible for women of color and we're gonna read about Teymar on this

[00:07:47] beautiful beautiful day Teymar is if we got in heroin in the Bible Teymar

[00:07:53] Teymar story began with the loss of two husbands her and own son of Judah

[00:08:02] childless her future was questionable Teymar had two choices she could

[00:08:07] accept her life or she could take action Teymar made a second choice and

[00:08:13] became her own advocate bound by what was known as a leverated log to either

[00:08:22] marry another son of Judah or be liberated by Judah to marry another man

[00:08:30] Teymar used her Femity and played on his manhood dressed as a prostitute her goal

[00:08:38] was to secure by any means necessary even in pregnancy when she was unmarried

[00:08:44] and though she risked death if found guilty of adultery she acquired Judah's

[00:08:50] personal pledge by obtaining his seal his court and his staff his proof of

[00:08:56] his participation in this sexually immortal act not only did Judah's personal

[00:09:04] items implicate him they forced him to fulfill his responsibility to her as the

[00:09:09] father for a child when Judah realized that he had to nod her justice under the

[00:09:15] law he could only say she is more righteous than I think I's reread this

[00:09:22] some time ago back in Genesis chapter 38 26 Teymar gave birth to twins Perez and Zera

[00:09:33] critics may ask why is this story found in the middle of Joseph's story one

[00:09:41] reason is that it prepares us for Genesis 49 a chapter in which Jacob blessed Judah his

[00:09:49] fourth son with his scepter a symbol of birthright and kingship traditionally given to the

[00:09:57] first born the immoral and the violent behavior of his three brothers Rubin Salman and Levi

[00:10:04] set the stage for this blessing to be passed to Judah thus it was through the lion of Judah

[00:10:12] that the house of David was established David's ancestry ancestry is traced back to Perez one of

[00:10:21] the twins fathered by Judah through his daughter in Lyle Teymar here we have the link between Judah

[00:10:29] and Jesus God's work is amazing God works in amazing ways despite Teymar and Judah's

[00:10:36] more act God is sovereignly worked out his good plan no human fritality can throat his purpose

[00:10:55] how has God used one of your so-called mistakes to accomplish his purpose in your life or

[00:11:41] and I kind of wanted to for the sake of it being Easter week

[00:11:53] move on over into the New Testament I've been anxious to get there guys for some time now

[00:12:02] I've been anxious to get over into the New Testament I think that we'll go back to the book of

[00:12:16] Joshua as we journey on in time but I want to move over to the book of John this morning and

[00:12:29] I want to start there I want to start in John I'ma let God go and lead me I did not

[00:12:37] make any notes on this a week on do this together as per usual I like to let the Holy Spirit

[00:12:46] lead me in the direction that it wants me to go in I was meditating thinking about it

[00:12:53] about thinking about it for quite some time now for a couple of months and I think that this is

[00:12:59] the perfect time to move over into the New Testament I will start with John and then I'll go

[00:13:06] backwards and um go to Matthew after this but let's see what John is about

[00:13:15] and we're going to read the introductory to John John just as coins has two sides both

[00:13:25] valid so Jesus Christ has two natures both valid Luke presents Christ in his humility as the

[00:13:34] Son of man and John portrays him in his identity as the Son of God John's purpose is crystal clear

[00:13:44] to set forth Jesus John's purpose is crystal clear to set forth Christ in his identity in order

[00:13:57] to spark believing faith in his readers John's gospel is topical as well as chronological and is

[00:14:08] revolved around seven miracles and seven I am statements of Christ following the extended

[00:14:17] eyewitness description of the upper wrong meal and discourse John records events leading up to

[00:14:25] the resurrection the final climatity proof that Jesus is who he claims to be the son of God

[00:14:39] so chapter one verse one we're reading out of the new King James

[00:14:47] in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God

[00:14:54] and he was in the beginning with God all things were made through him and without him

[00:15:01] nothing has been made that was made in him was life and the life was the light of man

[00:15:11] and the light shone in the darkness and then the darkness did not comprehend it there was a man

[00:15:18] set from God whose name was John this man came for witness to bear witness of the light that all

[00:15:27] through him may might believe he was not that light but was sent to bear witness of that light

[00:15:36] that was the true light which was which gives light to every man coming into the world

[00:15:45] he was in the world and the world was made through him and the world did not know him

[00:15:53] he came to his own and his own did not receive him but as many as received him

[00:16:01] to them he gave the right to become children of God to those who believe in his name

[00:16:09] who were born not a blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man but of God

[00:16:18] and the word became flesh and world among us and we beheld his glory

[00:16:24] the glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and true John bore witness of him

[00:16:36] and cried out saying this was he of whom I said he who comes after me is preferred before me

[00:16:45] for he was before me and of his fullness we have all received and graced for grace

[00:16:55] for the law was given through Moses but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ no one has seen

[00:17:03] God at any time the only begotten son who is in the bosom of the Father he has declared him

[00:17:13] now this is the testimony of John when the Jews sent priests and leaveites from Jerusalem to ask him who

[00:17:22] are you he confessed and did not deny but confessed I am not the Christ and they asked him what then

[00:17:33] are you Elijah and he said I am not are you the prophet and he answered no

[00:17:39] and then they said to him who are you that we may give an answer to those who sent us

[00:17:48] what do you say about yourself and he said I am the voice the one crying in the wilderness

[00:17:57] make straight the way of the Lord as the prophet as they said now those who were sent were from

[00:18:06] the Pharisees and they asked him saying why then do you baptize if you're not the Christ nor

[00:18:14] Elijah nor the prophet and John answered them saying I baptize with water but there stands one

[00:18:22] among you whom you do not know it is he who comes after me is preferred before me whose sandal straps

[00:18:32] I am not worthy to loosen these things were done and Beth the bar beyond the Jordan where John was

[00:18:41] baptizing the next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said behold the Lamb of God who takes

[00:18:49] the way the sand of the world this is he of whom I say after me he comes a man who is preferred before

[00:19:34] spirit and I have seen a testify that this is the Son of God again the next day John stood with two

[00:19:44] of his disciples and looking at Jesus he walked he said and looking at Jesus as he walked he said

[00:19:54] behold the Lamb of God the two disciples heard him speak and they followed Jesus then Jesus turned

[00:20:03] seeing him following said to them do what do you see they said to him rabbi which is to say

[00:20:15] when translated teacher where are you staying and he said to them come and see and they came and saw

[00:20:24] where he was staying and remained with him that day now it was about the 10th hour one of the two

[00:20:32] who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew Simon Peters brother he first found his own

[00:20:41] brother Simon and said to him we have found the Messiah which is translated Christ

[00:20:48] and he brought him to Jesus now when Jesus looked at him he said you are Simon the son of Jonah

[00:20:58] you shall be called Siphons which means to translate into a stone it's a translation A stone

[00:21:08] paid my part the following day Jesus wanted to go to Gatallee and he found Philip and said to him follow me

[00:21:18] now Philip was from Bethasta the city of Andrew and Peter Philip found Nathaniel and said to him we have

[00:21:26] found him we have found him of whom Moses in the law and also the prophets wrote Jesus of Nazareth

[00:21:37] the son of Joseph and the thing you said to him can any good come out of Nazareth

[00:21:43] and Philip said to him come and see Jesus saw Nathaniel coming toward him and said to him behold

[00:21:50] a Israelite indeed it's hum is no deceit Nathaniel said to him how do you know me Jesus answered

[00:21:59] and said to him before Philip called you when you were under the featuring I saw you

[00:22:05] Nathaniel said answer and said to him rabbi you are the son of God you are the king of Israel

[00:22:16] Jesus answered and said to him because I said to you I saw you under the featuring do you believe

[00:22:24] you will see greater things than these and he said to him most assuredly I will say to you

[00:22:36] hereafter you shall see heaven open in the angels of God ascending and descending upon the son of man

[00:22:46] and on the third day there was a wedding in Canaan a Galilee and the mother Jesus was there now both

[00:22:57] Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding and when they ran out of wine the mother said

[00:23:03] to Jesus and when they ran out of wine the mother of Jesus said to him I'm sorry they were

[00:23:11] they have no wine and Jesus said to her woman what does your concern have to do with me my hour has

[00:23:22] not come yet his mother said to the servant whenever he says to you do it now there were

[00:23:31] set their six water pots of stone and according to the manner of purification of the Jews containing

[00:23:39] 20 or 30 gallons of peace Jesus said to them feel the water pots with water and they feel them

[00:23:51] up to the brim and he said to them draw some out now and take it to the master of the feast and they

[00:24:00] took it when the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made one and did not know where it

[00:24:08] came from but the servants who had drawn the water knew the master of the feast called the bride

[00:24:15] grown and he said to him every man at the beginning sets out the good wine and when the guests have

[00:24:23] well drunk then the inferior you have kept the good wine until now

[00:24:31] this beginning of songs Jesus did in cana of jicalilee and manifested his glory

[00:24:44] and his disciples believed in him after this he went down to capernam capernam capernam

[00:24:53] he his mother his brothers and his disciples and they did not stay there for many days

[00:25:03] now the Passover of the Jews was at hand and Jesus went up to Jerusalem

[00:25:10] and he found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and dove and the money of changers

[00:25:20] doers doing business when he had made a whip of cords he drove them out of the temple with the sheep

[00:25:30] and the oxen and poured out the changers money and overturned tables and he said to those who

[00:25:37] sold does take these things away do not make my father's house a house of merchandise

[00:25:45] then his disciples remember that it was written zeal for your house has eaten me up

[00:25:57] so the Jews answered and said to him what songs do you show to us since you do these things

[00:26:05] and Jesus answered and said to them destroy this temple I will destroy this temple in three days

[00:26:14] I will raise it up then the Jews said it has taken 46 years to build this temple and you will raise

[00:26:24] it up in three days but he was speaking of the temple of his body therefore when we had risen from

[00:26:36] dead his disciple remember that he had said this to them and they believed the scripture

[00:26:45] in the world which Jesus had said now when he was in Jerusalem at Passover doing the feasts many

[00:26:55] believed in his name when they saw the sons but she did but Jesus did not commit himself to them

[00:27:03] because he knew all men and he had no need that anyone should testify of man for he knew what was in man

[00:27:15] that was chapter one and chapter two we'll get into chapter three on tomorrow meditate on his word today

[00:27:25] we'll go into the commentary of it on Tuesday you know following what my father in heaven

[00:27:41] has placed in my spirit I have decided that this week we will do every day this week

[00:27:51] every day this week to lead up to Easter it was on my heart I didn't want to think I wanted it

[00:27:58] too long my Bible tells me not to think on too much too long anyway and just to remember

[00:28:07] remember that this is Jesus Christ I father in heaven

[00:28:13] and to remember that without him breathing his breath into our bodies every single day that there

[00:28:25] would be no us celebrating Easter Sunday in our fine clothes and our nice jewelry enjoying the

[00:28:39] nice weather depending on where you're at meditate on what you want Jesus Christ to do in your life

[00:28:51] I asked myself that question all last week God what is it that I want you to do in my life

[00:29:01] and can I be as worthy as you need for me to be can you use my vessel can you use me as a vessel should

[00:29:14] I say can you use me and I believe he can he can use any of us that has a sincere heart

[00:29:24] he can use any of us that has a sincere heart we got to do us call out and ask him let him clean

[00:29:33] us up today I'm gonna let him continue to work on me this thing is a long road nothing is too

[00:29:42] impossible for God nothing is impossible for God we just have to have a made up mind and the things

[00:29:48] that we do going forth in our life and being obedient to the world the Bible is a roadmap to life all

[00:29:58] you got to do is go to scripture find out the answers to your questions life is not hard

[00:30:06] we as people we make it hard would depending on your situation whether it's weary

[00:30:13] with its anger meditate on God's word find a scripture trust faith let your light shine before me

[00:30:25] and fear you know all those things we can find something to read and meditate on in God's word every

[00:30:36] single day we have to be reminded that nobody's perfect we're not perfect in our walk we're not

[00:30:44] perfect in our talk but one day at a time one step at a time one minute at a time one hour at a

[00:30:51] time be the best person that you can be let your light shine brightly before me and for his glory

[00:30:59] because whether you want him to or not anything that you do in your life he will get the glory out of

[00:31:05] he will I promise you that but until tomorrow morning you guys be blessed and everything

[00:31:11] that you're doing on this beautiful Monday that God has decided to bless us and peace and blessings
